Abstract

Pressure vessel atau bejana tekan adalah sebuah tangki penyimpanan fluida dengan tekanan yang berbeda dengan tekanan lingkungan. Berdasarkan posisinya pressure vessel dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu pressure vessel vertikal dan pressure vessel horizontal. Dalam proses pengirimannya atau biasa disebut shipping, sebuah pressure vessel vertikal akan dikirim dengan posisi horizontal yang biasanya menggunakan skid kayu sebagai support. Sedangkan pada projek RDMP, Customer menginginkan adanya shipping saddle dari material logam. Shipping saddle ini dituntut untuk bisa menopang pressure vessel yang memiliki berat beribu kilogram dan tentunya bisa menahan beban yang terjadi pada proses pengiriman. Dapat dikatakan keinginan dari projek RDMP ini sangat jarang ditemui. Pengiriman pressure vessel yang menggunakan shipping saddle yang menggunakan bahan material logam tentu akan membuat tekanan dan tegangan tersendiri. Deformasi dapat terjadi akibat tegangan berlebih pada suatu titik. Maka dari itu memerlukan perancangan desain dari segi dimensi dan perhitungan peletakkan shipping saddle agar tidak berdampak pada pressure vessel vertikal yang ditopang. Hal ini meminimalisir terjadinya kerusakan dari pressure vessel selama proses pengiriman. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu order dari projek RDMP dari PT Pertamia Balikpapan yang dikerjakan oleh PT Boma Bisma Indra selaku pihak manufaktur . Pressure vessel vertikal yang digunakan yaitu pada item C-1-113 yang merupakan sebuah Desalting Water Surge Drum. Studi lapangan dan studi literatur dilakukan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan data yang dapat menjawab kebutuhan perencanaan shipping saddle ini. Shipping saddle yang nantinya direncanakan telah memenuhi standart pengiriman dari PT Boma Bisma Indra dan Customer. Selain itu juga sudah sesuai dengan standart ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) khususnya pada Section VIII Divisi 1. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan dimensi shipping saddle dengan material SA 283 Gr C yang mampu menopang pressure vessel C-1-113 selama proses pengiriman berlangsung. Kemampuan pressure vessel untuk menopang pressure vessel diperoleh dari perhitungan secara teoritik mengenai beban yang akan ditopang shipping saddle yang akan dianalisa lebih lanjut menggunakan metode numerik. Hal ini terbukti dengan hasil analisa tegangan menggunakan metode numerik yang semuanya masih dibawah tegangan ijin material. Adapun Analisa kemampuan shipping saddle dilakukan pada kondisi pengiriman jalur darat dan jalur laut dengan berbagai keadaan terburuk.

Pressure vessel is a fluid storage tank with a different pressure from the ambient pressure. Based on the location of the pressure vessel is divided into two, namely vertical pressure vessel and horizontal pressure vessel. In the process of shipping or commonly called shipping, a vertical pressure vessel will be sent in a horizontal position which usually uses a wooden skid as a support. Whereas in the RDMP project, the customer wants a shipping saddle made of metal material. This shipping saddle is required to be able to support pressure vessels that weigh thousands of kilograms and of course be able to withstand the loads that occur during the shipping process. It can be said that the wishes of this RDMP project are very rare. Shipping a pressure vessel that uses a shipping saddle that uses metal materials will certainly cause its own pressure and tension. Deformation can occur due to excessive stress at a point. Therefore it is necessary to design a design in terms of dimensions and calculations for laying shipping saddles so that they do not have an impact on the vertical pressure of the pressure vessel being supported. This minimizes the occurrence of damage to the pressure vessel during the shipping process. This research was conducted on one of the orders from the RDMP project from PT Pertamina Balikpapan which was carried out by PT Boma Bisma Indra as the manufacturer. The vertical pressure vessel used is item C-1-113 which is a Desalting Water Surge Drum. Field studies and literature studies were carried out in this study to obtain data that could answer the needs of this shipping saddle plan. The planned shipping saddle will meet the shipping standards from PT Boma Bisma Indra and the customer. In addition, it is also in accordance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards, especially in Section VIII Division 1. From this study, the dimensions of the shipping saddle with SA 283 Gr C material were obtained which were able to support the C-1-113 pressure vessel during the shipping process. The ability of a pressure vessel to support a pressure vessel is obtained from theoretical calculations regarding the load to be supported by the shipping saddle which will be further analyzed using the finite element method. This is proven by the results of stress analysis using the finite element method, all of which are still below the allowable material stress. The analysis of the capability of the shipping saddle is carried out in conditions of land and sea shipping with various worst conditions.
