Abstract

On-bottom stability is a simple balance style or an analysis of finite elemet to detailed. DNV-RP-F109 is an internatioal standard that provives allowes design and criteria so that subsea pipelines can attain vertical and lateral stability. In reaching vertical and lateral stability, subsea pipelines can be helped by adding material like concrete weight coating or may also method of armor cover, articulated concrete block mattress. In this final task, there is a problem where the subsea pipelines owned by PT. Y. operating throughout the KP 0+0.0 – KP 0+0.512 expereinced leakage resulting has reached the operating life limit. The subsea pipelines along KP 0+0.0 – KP 0+0.512 will be replaced using an old pipe spare without the presence of concrete weight coating as wrapping. It will be replaced with articulated concrete block mattress. The weight of articulated concrete block mattress required for subsea pipelines along KP 0+0.0 – KP 0+0.512 is 47200 kg, 70800 kg (SF = 1.5), and 94390 kg (SF=2). Articulated concrete block mattress dimension used has length 7 meters and width 7 meters with square frustum shaped blocks of upper dimensional 0.24 m x 0.24 m, mid-side 0.39 m x 0.39 m, and thick 0.3 m. Vertical and lateral stability criteria of subsea pipelines after being covered with articulated concrete block mattress have values of 0.45 and 0.377 ( installation condition), 0.472 and 0.575 (operating condition). Can be assumed up the value criteria meets the stability criteria of DNV-RP-F109 is ≤ 1.00.
