Abstract

Pabrik Surfaktan Sodium Lignosulfonate (SLS) dengan Bahan Baku Lignin di Kabupaten Kampar, Riau, Indonesia, telah direncanakan dengan kapasitas produksi 2.500 ton per tahun. Pabrik ini bertujuan untuk memproduksi SLS, sebuah senyawa kimia yang banyak digunakan sebagai bahan pendispersi dalam berbagai aplikasi industri. Saat ini, mayoritas Sodium Lignosulfonate yang digunakan di Indonesia masih diimpor dari negara lain. Proses produksi SLS dimulai dengan tahap pre-treatment, di mana feed yang terdiri dari lignin dan impurities lainnya diolah melalui proses evaporasi dan pengasaman dengan H2SO4 20% untuk memperoleh isolat lignin. Selanjutnya, isolat lignin direaksikan dengan agen pensulfonasi NaHSO3 dalam reaktor sulfonator untuk menghasilkan Sodium Lignosulfonate (SLS) dengan tingkat konversi sebesar 89% mol. Setelah proses pemisahan pada sentrifus, SLS yang lebih murni akan mengalami proses metanasi dan evaporasi untuk mendapatkan produk SLS yang pekat. Proses pengeringan menggunakan fluidized bed dryer menghasilkan SLS berbentuk bubuk, yang kemudian dihaluskan dan diskrining sesuai spesifikasi produk. Produk yang sesuai spesifikasi disimpan dalam tangki penyimpanan, sedangkan yang tidak sesuai dikembalikan ke dalam proses produksi. Pabrik ini direncanakan untuk beroperasi pada tahun 2027 dengan pertimbangan indicator Supporting infrastructure, economical, dan environmental. Diperlukan total investasi sebesar Rp95.013.326.653,9 untuk mendirikan pabrik ini, dengan estimasi total biaya produksi sebesar Rp64.166.737.917,9 dan estimasi penjualan sebesar Rp63.125.250.000,0 per tahun. Pabrik ini diharapkan dapat beroperasi selama 25 tahun dengan Internal Rate of Return (IRR) sebesar 25,20%, waktu pengembalian modal (POT) selama 7 tahun, dan Break Even Point (BEP) sebesar 40%.

A Sodium Lignosulfonate (SLS) Surfactant Plant with Lignin as the Raw Material in Kampar Regency, Riau, Indonesia, has been planned with a production capacity of 2,500 tons per year. This plant aims to produce SLS, a chemical compound widely used as a dispersing agent in various industrial applications. Currently, the majority of Sodium Lignosulfonate used in Indonesia is still imported from other countries. The SLS production process begins with a pre-treatment stage, where the feed consisting of lignin and other impurities is processed through evaporation and acidification with 20% H2SO4 to obtain lignin isolate. Next, the lignin isolate is reacted with NaHSO3 as the sulfonating agent in a sulfonator reactor to produce Sodium Lignosulfonate (SLS) with a conversion rate of 89 mol%. After the separation process in a centrifuge, the purer SLS undergoes methanation and evaporation to obtain concentrated SLS product. The drying process using a fluidized bed dryer yields powdered SLS, which is then refined and screened according to product specifications. Products meeting the specifications are stored in storage tanks, while those that do not meet the criteria are returned to the production process. The plant is planned to operate in 2027, considering supporting infrastructure, economic, and environmental indicators. The total investment required to establish this plant is estimated at Rp95,013,326,653.9, with an estimated total production cost of Rp64,166,737,917.9 and estimated sales of Rp63,125,250,000.0 per year. The plant is expected to operate for 25 years with an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 25.20%, a Payback Period (POT) of 7 years, and a Break Even Point (BEP) of 40%.
