Abstract

Logistik memiliki peran yang krusial dalam pengambilan keputusan suatu bisnis, termasuk bisnis ritel. Sangat penting bagi pelaku bisnis untuk mengatur kegiatan logistik secara efisien. Satu dari berbagai elemen logistik adalah transportasi, yang mana berkontribusi sebesar 30-60% terhadap biaya logistik. Karenanya, transportasi menjadi hal yang patut diperhatikan oleh bisnis agar biaya transportasi menjadi efisien, sekaligus menunjang persaingan pasar, economies of scale, dan harga barang yang lebih rendah. Salah satu inisiatif untuk mencapai efisiensi pada transportasi adalah dengan memaksimalkan utilisasi armada dan tenaga kerja transportasi, yang dapat diselesaikan dengan Vehicle Routing Problem. PT Siklus Refil Indonesia atau Siklus adalah startup ritel berkelanjutan yang berusaha menciptakan model ritel yang bersih dan adil dengan menawarkan kebutuhan rumah tangga yang terjangkau, sekaligus mengurangi limbah sampah plastik. Siklus menawarkan pengalaman berbelanja yang unik, dimana para konsumen dapat menyumbang wadah bekas plastik kepada pihak Siklus. Selain itu, Siklus mengirim pesanan langsung ke para konsumen secara gratis, guna meningkatkan ketertarikan masyarakat terhadap gaya hidup berkelanjutan. Namun, kegiatan pengiriman mil terakhir ini membuat Siklus harus menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola dan mengurangi biaya logistik. Sebagai tambahan, dalam mengelola kegiatan pengiriman mil terakhir, kurang adanya perhitungan atau model yang memadai terhadap utilisasi armada transportasi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang Heterogeneous Vehicle Routing Problem with Simultaneous Pickup and Delivery and Time Windows, guna mengoptimalkan utilisasi armada transportasi untuk pengiriman mil terakhir di Siklus. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa model yang diangkat dapat mengurangi biaya logistik sebesar Rp31,910,980 atau 25.72% dari kondisi aktual.

Logistics plays a critical role in the decision-making of businesses, including those in the retail business. It is very important for businesses to arrange logistics activities to be executed efficiently. One of many elements of logistics is transportation, where typically it accounts for 30-60% of the total logistics cost, making it essential for companies to manage their transportation costs to be efficient, as it contributes to greater competition in the market, greater economies of scale, and reduced prices of goods. One initiative to achieve transportation efficiency is by maximizing the utilization of transportation equipment and personnel. As an alternative, the Vehicle Routing Problem model can be applied to overcome this challenge. PT Siklus Refil Indonesia or Siklus is a sustainable retail startup that strives to create a clean and fair model of retail by providing affordable daily needs products while reducing plastic wastes. Siklus offers a unique shopping experience for its customers where they can store used containers or waste when the order is delivered, which will Siklus then collect and cultivate. Furthermore, the deliveries are made for free to attract customers to adopt this sustainable lifestyle. However, due to the last-mile deliveries, maintaining and reducing its logistics cost has been a never-ending challenge for Siklus. In addition, the last-mile deliveries are arranged daily without proper calculation or modeling by considering fleet utilization that surely contributes to cost. Therefore, this research is intended to develop a Heterogeneous Vehicle Routing Problem with Simultaneous Pickup and Delivery and Time Windows, striving to optimize the fleet utilization for last mile deliveries of Siklus. Based on the results, it is found that the proposed model leads to less total logistics cost incurred as much as Rp31,910,980 or 25.72% from the existing condition.
