Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan industri otomotif sepeda motor yang memproduksi dan menjual beberapa jenis sepeda motor. Salah satu sepeda motor tersebut adalah Sepeda Motor Z. Sepeda motor ini memiliki beberapa jenis cover part, dan menurut data yang diberikan oleh perusahaan, Cover Step Floor merupakan cover part yang paling banyak mengalami cacat dengan jumlah cacat sebanyak 2151 pada tahun 2021 dan memiliki tingkat cacat sebesar 1% dengan Sigma Level 4.1. Cover Step Floor memiliki tiga jenis cacat yaitu patah, baut klasifikasi tidak rapi dan Black Dot. Berdasarkan Pareto Chart, jenis cacat yang paling banyak terjadi adalah baut klasifikasi tidak rapi dan patah. Cacat ini dapat menyebabkan terjadinya gap antara Cover Step Floor dan Cover Floor Side. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, metodologi Six Sigma DMAIC akan digunakan untuk mendapatkan alternatif solusi. Alternatif solusi berdasarkan RPN tertinggi adalah merancang sebuah alat bantu yang disebut Jig and Fixture yang digunakan untuk menahan Cover Step Floor ketika klasifikasi baut sedang dibor. Dengan Finite Element Analysis, didapatkan hasil safety factor, tekanan minimum yang dibutuhkan adalah 0.902542 MPa, dan tekanan maksimum 15 MPa untuk drill, jig dan fixture. Dengan menggunakan Jig and Fixture, PT XYZ dapat meningkatkan efisiensi mereka sebesar 50%, dimana nilai Sigma improvement sebesar 4,3. PT XYZ is a motorcycle automotive industry that produces and sells several types of motorbikes. One of the motorbikes is Motorcycle Z. This motorbike has several types of cover parts, and according to the data provided by the company, the Cover Step Floor is the most defect cover part with a total of 2151 defects in 2021 and has a 1% defect rate with Sigma Level of 4.1. The Cover Step Floor has three types of defects which are broken, the classification bolt is not neat and Black Dot. Based on the Pareto Chart, the most defect type of defects are the classification bolt that is not neat and broken. These defects can lead to a gap between Cover Step Floor and Cover Floor Side. In order to solve this problem, the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology is going to be used to obtain the alternative solution. The alternative solution based on the highest RPN is designing a tool called Jig and Fixture which is used to hold the Cover Step Floor when the bolt classification is being drilled. With Finite Element Analysis, safety factor results, the minimum pressure needed is 0,902542 MPa, and the maximum pressure is 15 MPa for the drill, jig and fixture. By using Jig and Fixture, PT XYZ can increase their efficiency by 50%, which the Sigma value improvement is 4.3; this proved that Jig and Fixture are effective in minimizing their cover step floor defects.
