Abstract
Pada website perguruan tinggi sebaiknya memiliki informasi yang menarik, user-friendly, mudah dipahami mengenai isi kegiatan perguruan tinggi, layanan yang ditawarkan, dan akreditasi perguruan tinggi. Oleh sebab itu, website perguruan tinggi harus mengimplementasikan Search Engine Optimization (SEO) untuk mendukung visibilitas website perguruan tinggi salah satu contohnya pada website ITS News. SEO berperan dalam meningkatkan peringkat website pencarian pada mesin pencari dan mengetahui tingkat visibilitas dari suatu website. ITS News merupakan website yang bertujuan sebagai media penyebaran informasi perkembangan ITS dan media branding ITS dikancah nasional maupun internasional. Pada saat ini ITS News telah mengimplementasikan SEO pada pembuatan halaman website. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk memberikan hasil evaluasi SEO yang telah dilakukan pada website ITS News dalam mendukung visibilitas pemberitaan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Dengan dibuatnya penelitian ini, mengetahui hasil evaluasi SEO dan pembuatan rekomendasi perbaikan yang telah dilakukan dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan visibilitas SEO website ITS News. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi visibilitas SEO dan pembuatan rekomendasi perbaikan berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pada parameter backlink, broken links, referring domains, organic traffic, meta description, page title, URL optimization, image optimization, riset kata kunci, dan search engine result pages (SERP). Untuk membuat evaluasi dan rekomendasi pada website ITS News dengan menggunakan metode on-page SEO. Pengambilan data SEO menggunakan aplikasi Ahrefs, SEMRush, SEOQuake, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, dan Lighthouse untuk mengetahui hasil evaluasi masing-masing parameter dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk website ITS News. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan hasil evaluasi pada masing-masing parameter terdapat perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan visibilitas website. Kemudian memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan dalam mengoptimalkan SEO dalam meningkatkan visibilitas website. Sehingga dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi pengembang ITS News untuk mengetahui evaluasi yang ditemukan pada penelitian ini dan dapat dilakukan perbaikan sesuai dengan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan performa SEO dan mendukung visibilitas website ITS News.

College websites should have interesting, user-friendly, easy-to-understand information regarding the contents of college activities, services offered, and college accreditation. Therefore, college websites must implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to support the visibility of college websites, one example is the ITS News website. SEO plays a role in increasing website search rankings on search engines and knowing the level of visibility of a website. ITS News is a website that aims to be a medium for disseminating information on ITS developments and media branding for ITS nationally and internationally. At this time ITS News has implemented SEO on the website creation page. This research focuses on providing the results of an SEO evaluation that has been carried out on the ITS News website in supporting the visibility of the reporting of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology. By making this research, it is hoped that making recommendations for improvements that have been made can help in increasing the SEO visibility of the ITS News website. This study aims to assess SEO assessment and make recommendations for improvement based on evaluation results on the parameters of backlinks, broken links, referring domains, organic traffic, meta descriptions, page titles, URL optimization, image optimization, keyword research, and search engine result pages (SERPs). To make evaluations and recommendations on the ITS News website using the on-page SEO method. SEO data collection uses the Ahrefs, SEMRush, SEOQuake, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, and Lighthouse applications to find out the results of evaluating each parameter and provide recommendations for improvements to the ITS News website. The results of this study reveal that the evaluation results for each parameter show that there are improvements that can be made to increase website visibility. Then provide recommendations for improvements in optimizing SEO in increasing website visibility. So that this research is expected to be useful for ITS News developers to find out the evaluations found in this research and improvements can be made according to recommendations to improve SEO performance to support the visibility of the ITS News website.
