Abstract

Pada awal tahun 2023, jumlah pengguna aktif media sosial di Indonesia mencapai 60,4% dari 276,4 juta penduduk. Saat ini, pengguna media sosial gencar mengunggah konten dan kegiatan mereka ke media sosial. Banyaknya fitur yang ada di media sosial memudahkan pengguna untuk berbagi foto, video, lokasi ataupun tulisan yang berisi informasi pribadi. Kemudahan dalam akses informasi dan perilaku saat menggunakan media sosial tersebut berpotensi pada banyaknya ancaman keamanan informasi. Adanya kasus data pribadi yang diperjual-belikan di media sosial dan adanya celah keamanan media sosial untuk mengakses informasi pribadi merupakan bukti adanya ancaman keamanan informasi. Beberapa tindakan kriminal terjadi juga karena adanya penyalahgunaan informasi di media sosial. Kasus tersebut salah satunya diakibatkan oleh lalainya pengguna media sosial dalam menjaga keamanan informasi.
Dengan adanya beberapa kasus tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengguna media sosial kurang memiliki kesadaran dalam menjaga keamanan informasi saat menggunakan media sosial. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku keamanan pada pengguna media sosial khususnya pegawai PDAM Kabupaten Kediri. Media Sosial dipilih sebagai objek penelitian karena kemudahan dalam mengunggah konten dan adanya celah keamanan yang dapat diretas untuk mengakses informasi pribadi. Model penelitian ini menggunakan Security Belief Model. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner online kepada pegawai PDAM Kabupaten Kediri dengan hasil responden sebanyak 71 responden. Data yang diperoleh tersebut diolah dan diuji menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling PLS untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel dari hipotesis yang ada.
Hasil dari penelitian adalah bahwa faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku keamanan pada pengguna media sosial meliputi Security Awareness, Self-Efficacy in Information Security, Internet Users Information Security Concern, Perceived Security Threat, dan Perceived Susceptibility/Perceived Severity. Dari hasil tersebut diusulkan beberapa rekomendasi dalam mengatasi masalah perilaku keamanan pada pengguna media sosial khususnya pegawai PDAM Kabupaten Kediri. Rekomendasi tersebut mengacu pada indikator dari pengujian hipotesis untuk meningkatkan kepedulian dalam perilaku keamanan informasi pengguna saat menggunakan media sosial.

In early 2023, the number of active social media users in Indonesia reached 60.4% from 276.4 million population. Currently, social media users are actively uploading content and their activities to social media. Many features on social media make it easy for users to share photos, videos, locations or posts that contain personal information. Ease of access to information and behavior when using social media has the potential for many information security threats. There are cases of personal data being traded on social media and social media security loopholes for accessing personal information is evidence of information security threats. Some crime also occur due to misuse of information on social media. One of the causes of this case is the negligence of social media users in maintaining information security. With these several cases, it can be concluded that social media users lack awareness in maintaining information security when using social media. Based on these problems, researchers conducted research that aimed to find out the factors that affecting security behavior of social media users, especially employees of PDAM Kediri Regency. Social Media was chosen as the object of research because of the ease in uploading content and the existence of security holes that can be hacked to access personal information. This research model uses the Security Belief Model. Data collection was carried out by distributing online questionnaires to PDAM Kediri Regency employees with 71 respondents. The data obtained was processed and tested using the PLS Structural Equation Modeling method to determine the relationship between variables from the existing hypothesis. The result of the research is that factors that affecting security behaviour on social media users are included Security Awareness, Self-Efficacy in Information Security, Internet Users Information Security Concern, Perceived Security Threat, and Perceived Susceptibility/Perceived Severity. From these results, several recommendations are proposed in overcoming the problem of security behavior in social media users, especially employees of PDAM Kediri Regency. These recommendations refer to indicators from hypothesis testing to increase awareness in user information security behavior when using social media.
