Abstract

Di Indonesia industri cat dan bangunan merupakan segmentasi pasar terbesar dari pigmen. Kebutuhan pigmen di Indonesia nyaris 100% dipenuhi dengan impor dari negara Jerman, China, dan India. Sehingga diperlukan adanya pembangunan pabrik pigmen untuk mengurangi kebutuhan akan pigmen. Salah satunya yaitu pabrik pigmen besi oksida. Pigmen besi oksida sendiri merupakan inorganik pigmen yang bahan bakunya ialah pasir besi yang memiliki sifat tidak beracun. dan dapat menghasilkan berbagai macam warna diantaranya warna merah, kuning, coklat, dan hitam. Pigmen besi oksida hijau merupakan inovasi terbaru di dunia industri pigmen, karena kualitas yang dihasilkan lebih bagus dan tidak beracun. Pabrik Pigmen Besi Oksida Hijau dari limbah pasir besi PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina direncanakan mulai dibangun pada tahun 2022 dengan kapasitas 84,367 ton/tahun. Karena pabrik ini merupakan unit pengolahan limbah maka lokasinya berada di PT. Indonesia Chemical Alumina yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Tayan, Kalimantan Barat. Pabrik pigmen besi oksida hijau yang didirikan akan dioperasikan selama 330 hari selama satu tahun. Proses produksinya akan dibagi menjadi beberap tahap yaitu pre-treatment, presipitasi, dan coating. Pabrik ini membutuhkan investasi awal sebesar Rp 1.499.843.083.607 dimana setelah proses kontruksi 2 tahun dan operasi 20 tahun, didapatkan nilai IRR 22% dan Pay Out Time 3,2 tahun, dengan WACC sebesar 9,8%.

In Indonesia, the paint and building industry is the largest market segment for pigments. The need for pigments in Indonesia is almost 100% met by imports from Germany, China, and India. So, it is necessary to build a pigment factory to reduce the need for pigments. One of them is an iron oxide pigment factory. Iron oxide pigment itself is an inorganic pigment whose raw material is iron sand which has non-toxic properties and can produce various colors including red, yellow, brown, and black. Green iron oxide pigment is the latest innovation in the world of pigment industry because the quality produced is better and non-toxic. The Green Iron Oxide Pigment Plant from iron sand waste of PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina is planned to start construction in 2022 with a capacity of 84,367 tons/year. Because this plant is a waste treatment unit, its location is at PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina located in Tayan Regency, West Kalimantan. The established green iron oxide pigment plant will be operated for 330 days for one year. The production process will be divided into several stages, namely pre-treatment, precipitation, and coating. This plant requires an initial investment of IDR 1,499,843,083,607 where after a 2-year construction process and 20 years of operation, an IRR value of 22% and a Pay Out Time of 3.2 years are obtained, with a WACC of 9.8%.
