Abstract

Diskriminasi merupakan masalah yang masih banyak dijumpai di masyarakat, termasuk pada anak-anak. Anak-anak masih belum dapat membedakan perlakuan yang benar dan salah mengenai tindakan atau ucapan yang mereka lakukan dan ujarkan, mereka juga seringkali mempelajari sesuatu dengan meniru apa yang dilakukan oleh lingkungannya. Maka dari itu, perancangan ini dibuat untuk memberikan edukasi pada anak melalui media edukasi interaktif agar tidak berperilaku diskriminatif.
Perancangan ini menggunakan beberapa metode penelitian, yaitu studi eksisting, studi literatur, observasi, depth interview, serta pengumpulan data secara kuantitatif berupa kuesioner, adapun data akan diolah pada tahap studi eksperimental, pre test, serta post test. Metode ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh data-data mengenai perilaku anak, psikologis anak, dan media yang digunakan untuk menjadi acuan dari perancangan ini. Dari hasil riset dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan, luaran yang dipilih sebagai media utama dalam perancangan ini merupakan boneka wayang kontemporer, yang ditujukan agar pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan, dimana anak akan diajak untuk ikut serta dalam cerita yang dibawakan, mereka juga bisa berinteraksi dengan bebas dengan cerita, serta media pendukung berupa buku panduan interaktif sebagai acuan serta petunjuk dari media utama melalui cerita, ilustrasi, dan sisi interaktif agar anak-anak semakin tertarik dan tidak merasa bosan untuk belajar. Melalui media ini, diharapkan dapat mengedukasi anak untuk menghargai dan mencintai dirinya sendiri dan orang lain, menghargai perbedaan serta mencegah anak-anak untuk berperilaku diskriminatif kepada sesama.

Discrimination is a problem that is still often found in society, including in children. Children still cannot distinguish between right and wrong treatment regarding the actions or words they do and say, they also often learn things by imitating what their environment does. Therefore, this design was created to provide education to children through interactive learning media so that they do not behave discriminatory. This design uses several research methods, namely existing studies, literature studies, observations, in-depth interviews, and quantitative data collection in the form of questionnaires, while the data will be processed at the experimental study stage, pre-test, and user testing. This method was carried out to obtain data regarding child behavior, child psychology, and the media used to become a reference for this design. From the results of the research and interviews that have been conducted, the output chosen as the main media in this design is contemporary wayang puppets, which are intended to make learning fun and not boring, where children will be invited to participate in the stories being told, they can also interact freely with stories, as well as supporting media in the form of interactive guidebooks as a reference and instructions from the main media through stories, illustrations, and interactive sides so that children are more interested and don't feel bored learning. Through this media, it is hoped that it can educate children to respect and love themselves and others, respect differences and prevent children from discriminating against others.
