Abstract

Nitrogen (N) adalah salah satu nutrisi yang paling penting untuk tanaman padi. Kebutuhan nitrogen padi umumnya dipenuhi melalui pemupukan yang dilakukan oleh petani, namun proses pemupukan hanya didasarkan pada perkiraan tanpa menghitung kebutuhannya terlebih dahulu. Padahal, kekurangan atau kelebihan kandungan nitrogen tidak baik untuk tanaman padi. Kebutuhan nitrogen tanaman padi bervariasi pada setiap fase pertumbuhan. Pada fase generatif, kebutuhan nitrogen relatif tinggi karena pada tahap ini terjadi proses pembentukan malai dan pengisian gabah. Terdapat beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan untuk memantau kandungan nitrogen padi, salah satunya adalah menggunakan metode penginderaan jauh. Dengan pendekatan indeks vegetasi, kandungan nitrogen tanaman padi diperkirakan melalui analisis data spektrum cahaya yang dipantulkan oleh daun. Dalam penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan citra satelit Sentinel-2 diterapkan beberapa indeks vegetasi seperti OSAVI, GNDVI, dan SRRE untuk membentuk model estimasi dengan metode regresi. Dari hasil penelitian, ketiga indeks vegetasi memiliki korelasi positif dengan kandungan nitrogen pada tanaman padi. Indeks SRRE menghasilkan nilai koefisien korelasi tertinggi yaitu sebesar 0,692, sedangkan nilai koefisien korelasi untuk GNDVI sebesar 0,498 dan OSAVI hanya sebesar 0,470. Peta estimasi kandungan nitrogen tanaman padi diperoleh berdasarkan model estimasi yang dibuat dari regresi linier antara data kandungan nitrogen berbasis SPAD dengan indeks vegetasi terbaik yaitu menggunakan indeks SRRE. Dari hasil analisis, diketahui bahwa kandungan nitrogen tanaman padi hasil estimasi di lahan baku sawah Kecamatan Karangjati didominasi oleh nilai nitrogen dengan klasifikasi optimum.

Nitrogen (N) is one of the most important nutrients for rice plants. The nitrogen needs of rice are generally gained through fertiliser applied by farmers, but the fertilisation process is only based on estimation without calculating the needs first. In fact, lack or excess nitrogen content is not good for rice plants. Nitrogen requirements of rice plants vary in each growth phase. In generative phase, nitrogen demand is relatively high because at this stage the process of panicle formation and grain filling occurs. There are several methods that can be used to monitor rice nitrogen content, one of which is using remote sensing methods. With the vegetation index approach, the nitrogen content of rice plants is estimated through data analysis of the light spectrum reflected by the leaves. In this study, using Sentinel-2 satellite images, several vegetation indices such as OSAVI, GNDVI, and SRRE were applied to form an estimation model with the regression method. From the results, the three vegetation indices have a positive correlation with nitrogen content in rice plants. The SRRE index produced the highest coefficient of correlation of 0,692, while the coefficient of correlation for GNDVI was 0,498 and OSAVI was only 0,470. The nitrogen content’s estimation map of rice plants was obtained based on the estimation model made from linear regression between SPAD-based nitrogen content data and the best vegetation index using the SRRE index. From the analysis, it is known that the estimated nitrogen content of rice plants in the paddy fields of Karangjati District is dominated by nitrogen values with optimum classification.
