Abstract

Difabel berasal dari bahasa inggris different ability people atau diffable people, difabel berarti orang yang memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda dari orang pada umumnya. Setiap Penyandang Difabel memiliki hak dan kesempatan yang sama dalam segala aspek kehidupan dan penghidupan, salah satunya aksesibilitas. Terdapat beberapa hal yang menjadi penghambat implementasi ruang publik yang aksesibel, antara lain kurangnya pemahaman pengelola ruang publik terkait aksesibilitas bagi penyandang. Hal ini menyebabkan terlantarnya kebutuhan penyandang disabilitas. Fokus utama pada kajian ini adalah menciptakan suatu ruangan yang dalam desainnya menggunakan pendekatan Universal Design. Universal desain atau yang sering juga disebut dengan desain inklusif merupakan sebuah desain yang bebas hambatan, sehingga dapat mudah dipahami, mudah diakses, dan dapat digunakan untuk beraktivitas oleh siapapun tanpa memandang usia, gender, atau kemampuan mereka. Hotel Royal Senyiur merupakan hotel bintang empat yang cukup legendaris di Prigen, Pasuruan. Tetapi berdasarkan data yang ada, fasilitas yang dapat menunjang kenyamanan para kaum difabel belum menjadi fokus utama fasilitas di hotel ini. Perlu adanya kajian terhadap tingkat optimalisasi fungsi ruang pada bangunan Hotel Royal Senyiur dilihat berdasarkan persepsi penggunanya, dalam hal ini khususnya adalah kaum difabel. Sehingga dapat tercipta desain interior yang nyaman, aman, estetis, dan aksesibel bagi kaum difabel. Pada perancangan ini, pemberian fasilitas untuk pengguna difabel diutamakan pada ruang kamar tidur difabel, lobby, dan restoran. Beberapa fasilitas yang dihadirkan dalam desain adalah grab bar, furnitur yang aksesibel, area sirkulasi yang lebar, lantai taktil, dan huruf braille.

Diffable comes from the English language different ability people or diffable people, diffable means a person who has different abilities from people in general. Every person with disabilities has equal rights and opportunities in all aspects of life and livelihood, one of which is accessibility. Based on the data, there are several things that hinder the implementation of accessible public spaces, including ignorance and lack of understanding of the owners or managers of public spaces regarding accessibility for people. This has led to the displaced needs of people with disabilities. The main focus of this study is to create a room that in its design uses a Universal Design approach. Universal design or what is often also called inclusive design is a design that is barrier-free, so that it can be easily understood, easily accessible, and can be used for activities by anyone regardless of their age, gender, or ability. Hotel Royal Senyiur is a legendary four-star hotel in Prigen, Pasuruan. Based on the data, facilities that can support the comfort of people with disabilities have not become the main focus of facilities in this hotel. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a study on the level of optimization of space function in the Royal Senyiur Hotel building based on the perception of its users, in this case especially people with disabilities. So that it can create interior design that is comfortable, safe, aesthetic, and accessible for people with disabilities. In this design, the provision of facilities for disabled users is prioritized in disabled bedrooms, lobbies and restaurants. Some of the facilities presented in the design are grab bars, accessible furniture, wide circulation areas, tactile floors, and braille letters.
