Abstract

Peningkatan populasi yang menua di lingkungan urban merupakan salah satu tren permasalahan global utama. Komunitas lansia dari berbagai kalangan perlu melatih kemampuan mereka guna mengoptimalkan produktivitas dan mencapai active aging. Fasilitas publik yang disediakan seperti panti jompo dan taman kota tidak secara aktif memberikan stimulasi bagi lansia dan tidak mempertimbangkan keterbatasan lansia dalam menyediakan kemudahan aksesibilitas. Oleh karena itu, perkembangan elderly day care center akan menjadi salah satu alternatif selain panti jompo dalam memberikan fasilitas bagi komunitas lanjut usia. Pendekatan inklusif yang diterapkan dalam fasilitas elderly daycare center melibatkan segala kelompok pengguna dalam aktivitas yang dihadirkan. Penerapan metode force-based framework diawali dengan eksplorasi isu rancangan ramah lansia bagi lansia dengan mengutamakan kemudahan aksesibilitas dan keterhubungan. Metode human-centered design juga diterapkan pada fasilitas elderly day care center dengan prinsip inklusif yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan keterbatasan lansia serta aktivitas yang akan dihadirkan pada suatu site. Penerapan centralized organization pada penataan banyak massa bangunan berakibat pada terbentuknya sirkulasi loop linier yang meningkatkan kemudahan akses visual dan pergerakan. Kombinasi bentuk atap limas dan perisai tidak hanya merespon forces berkaitan dengan iklim, namun juga terkait familiaritas pengguna dengan lingkungan. Aplikasi bentuk fasad dengan mengkombinasikan dinding gewel dan arch menjadi ciri khas yang membedakan elderly daycare center di Jambangan dengan objek arsitektur sejenis lainnya.

The increasing aging population in urban areas is one of the major global problem trends. Elderly communities from various backgrounds need to train their abilities to optimize productivity and achieve active aging. Public facilities provided such as nursing homes and city parks do not actively provide stimulation for the elderly and do not consider the limitations of the elderly in providing easy accessibility. Therefore, the development of an elderly day care center will be an alternative to nursing homes in providing facilities for the elderly community. The inclusive architecture approach applied in the elderly daycare center facility involves all groups of users in the activities presented. The application of the force-based framework method begins with an exploration of the issue of an elderly-friendly design for the elderly by prioritizing easy accessibility and connectedness. The human-centered design method is also applied to elderly day care center facilities with inclusive principles that are adjusted to the needs and limitations of the elderly and the activities that will be presented at a site. The application of a centralized organization in the arrangement of many building masses results in the formation of a linear loop circulation which increases the ease of visual access and movement. The combination of gable and hipped roof forms does not only respond to forces related to climate, but also related to the user's familiarity with the environment. The application of facade forms by combining gewel walls and arches is a characteristic that distinguishes the elderly daycare center in Jambangan from other similar architectural objects.
