Abstract

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) have become essential in strengthening economic growth. Based on the contributions obtained, Indonesian SMEs increased the national GDP, employment opportunities, global competitive achievement, and others. Seek the rapid growth existing, business owners are challenged to do internationalization in the form of export. This research examined the influence of network capability, entrepreneurial leadership, environmental dynamism, and strategic agility as the intervening variable to determine international performance. This research utilized quantitative analysis with saturated sample approach. 166 SME business owners were successfully recruited from Export Center Surabaya (ECS). Data were processed using SEM-PLS through SmartPLS 3.29. The result was that network capability, entrepreneurial leadership, and environmental dynamism influence international performance. Additionally, it has been established that strategic agility indirectly affects how successfully an organization executes globally in terms of its linkage networking, entrepreneurial leadership, and environmental dynamism. The result of hypothesis testing concluded all the hypotheses are accepted. The research findings provided a better understanding of the interplay of variables in strengthening business owners' internationalization through suggesting implications which might support businesses and export communities to establish appropriate internationalization strategies to compete in developing country markets.
