Abstract

Competition in the industrial world is getting tougher day by day, for each company competing to provide the best for consumers, starting from innovation products to improve the quality of products or services. Most consumers consider product specifications to buy or use the product This is because the quality of a product plays an important role in the industrial world. One way to control quality is a control chart with an approach anomaly detection using control chart. Control charts can be used with Early detection of circumstances out of control to ensure product quality. Method determining product quality, one of which is the CUSUM control chart that monitors coefficient of variation. An important assumption in designing this CUSUM chart is that The process starts from a controlled state. However, people find it difficult in some real case that the process is not the same as the assumptions put forward. To overcome This problem is carried out by a fast initial response (FIR) approach. This approach still is lack of understanding among the public about control chart design CUSUM monitors the coefficient of variation with the FIR strategy. Based on the analysis that has been carried out obtained the design of the CUSUM control chart with 5 data out of control, design CUSUM control chart that monitors CV with 84 data out of control, and design CUSUM control chart monitoring CV with FIR strategy obtained 86 data out of control. Thus, it was concluded that the CUSUM design monitoring CV with the FIR strategy is more optimal than the CUSUM control chart design and CUSUM design that monitors CV.
