Abstract
Peningkatan aktivitas manusia, pergeseran penggunaan lahan dan semakin beragamnya pola hidup masyarakat di Kota Bangkalan mengakibatkan peningkatan limbah domestik dan menjadikan beban pencemar di Sungai Bangkalan semakin besar seiring berjalannya waktu. Sungai Bangkalan segmentasi Bendungan Tunjung sampai Sungai Bancaran terindikasi mengalami penurunan kualitas air sungai.

Increased human activity, shifts in land use and the increasingly diverse lifestyles of people in Bangkalan City have resulted in an increase in domestic waste and made the pollutant load in the Bangkalan River even greater over time. The Bangkalan River segmentation from the Tunjung Dam to the Bancaran River has indicated that the quality of river water has decreased. The purpose of this study was to determine the pollution level of the Bangkalan River, the condition of the Bangkalan River's water quality, and to obtain recommendations for treatment strategies for river water quality management in the future. This research approach uses descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative. The method used is calculating the Pollutant Index and Water Quality Index, simulating parameters in various scenarios using the QUAL2Kw modeling while selecting priority handling using AHP. Furthermore, measuring the level of pollution, simulating several scenarios, and making decisions based on treatment priorities. In the results of this study it is known that the pollution level of the Bangkalan River is categorized as lightly polluted and the quality of the Bangkalan River is categorized as moderate. The results of testing the river water quality in the 4 modeling scenarios show that the water quality of the Bangkalan River belongs to class II water quality but in some river segments it starts to approach class III. So it is necessary to recommend a strategy using AHP testing with the pairwise comparison method by several respondents which produces the main sub-objectives of operational costs and maintenance costs with a priority value of 60.8% and alternative programs for the construction of individual domestic WWTPs and latrines with a value of 43.6%.
