Abstract

Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Mandalika yang terletak di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, ditetapkan menjadi KEK Pariwisata melalui Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 52 Tahun 2014 yang diusulkan oleh ITDC (Indonesia Tourism Depelovment Corporation) berbadan hukum BUMN. KEK Mandalika mengandalkan wisata bahari dengan pantai yang indah dan wisata bawah laut yang memukau. Bidang pariwisata Lombok sempat mengalami hambatan dikarenakan gempa yang melanda di tahun 2018, dan juga pandemi COVID-19 yang memasuki Indonesia di tahun 2020. Jumlah wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara turun drastis di awal tahun 2020. Meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara pasca pandemi membuat pengelola industri wisata mulai mencanangkan konsep pariwisata yang bersifat sustainable, untuk merespon meningkatnya fenomena mass tourism yang menyebabkan kerusakan ekosistem lingkungan. KEK Mandalika kemudian menerapkan konsep ecotourism sebagai respon dari permasalahan tersebut. Dengan mengandalkan keindahan alamnya, KEK Mandalika Akan tetap menjaga 51% areanya sebagai lahan hijau. Dengan adanya kesempatan tersebut, dibuat rancangan sebuah fasilitas hotel dan resort dengan nama Inges Bay Resort. Inges Bay Resort merupakan sebuah resort bintang 4 yang berlokasi di Mandalika, Lombok. Inges Bay mengusung tema Eco-resort. Konsep Eco-resort dipilih sebagai usaha untuk berkontribusi terhadap tujuan ecotourism yang merupakan garis besar konsep KEK Mandalika serta sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kembali angka kunjungan wisata di pulau Lombok. Konsep Eco – tourism diimplementasikan kedalam desain interior Inges Bay resort melalui elemen desain seperti penggunaan material alami lokal, pemanfaatan ventilasi dan pencahayaan alami guna mengurangi penggunaan alat elektronik, pengenalan budaya Lombok yang diterapkan kedalam elemen – elemen interior, dan juga penerapan elemen dari material bekas yang digunakan kembali.

Mandalika Special Economic Zone (Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus/KEK) which is located in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, is appointed to be Tourism KEK through Government Regulation No 52 Year 2014 proposed by ITDC (Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation) Stated Owned-Incorporated. KEK Mandalika rely on marine tourism with beautiful beaches and exquisite under water views. Lombok's tourism sector experienced obstacles due to the earthquake happened in 2018, and also because of COVID-19 pandemic that broke into Indonesia in 2020. The number of local and international touris decreased at the lowest level on the beginning of 2020. The increase of local and international tourist number post-pandemic makes the tourism manager and developer begin to adopt sustainable tourism concept, to respond the mass tourism phenomenon which able to damage natural ecosystem. KEK Mandalika then applied the concept of ecotourism as a response to these problems. By relying on its natural beauty, KEK Mandalika will maintain its 51% area as a natural green area. Given this opportunity, a hotel and resort facility was designed with the name Inges Bay Resort. Inges Bay Resort is a four star resort located in Mandalika, Lombok. Inges Bay carries the theme of Eco-resort. Eco-resort concept has chosen as an effort to contribute to the goal of ecotourism which is an outline of the concept of KEK Mandalika as well as an effort to increase the number of tourist visits on the island of Lombok. The concept of Eco-tourism is implemented in the interior design of Inges Bay resort through design elements such as the use of local natural materials, utilization of natural ventilation and lighting to reduce the use of electronic devices, integration of Lombok culture into interior elements, and also the incorporation of reused materials.
