Abstract

Kapal Riset Baruna Jaya I, II, III, dan IV yang dikelola oleh Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), hampir seluruh kapal telah memasuki usia 30 tahun. Permasalahan dan penurunan performa permesinan sering terjadi seiring bertambahnya umur kapal, penurunan performa permesinan ini diikuti dengan tingginya frekuensi kerusakan yang dialami oleh kapal. Hal tersebut memberikan dampak kerugian tidak hanya pada produktivitas dan waktu, juga pada biaya dan kepercayan masyarakat.
Dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan kehandalan K.R. Baruna Jaya, maka perlu dilakukan pengembangan terhadap sistem pemantauan kinerja Sistem Permesinan Utama Kapal sebagai acuan di dalam melakukan analisa perawatan untuk menentukan maintenance task. Pengembangan sistem pemantauan unjuk kerja mesin kapal ini akan menggunakan teknologi berbasis PLC dan sistem monitoring berbasis SCADA.
Penelitian ini, bertujuan menghasilkan backbound sebuah desain sistem monitoring data kinerja permesinan utama kapal riset, selain itu penelitian ini juga melakukan analisa perawatan untuk penentuan task maintenance. Analisa FMECA telah dilakukan dengan mendapatkan hasil tingkat prioritas dari peralatan Lubricating Oil System. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 9 buah peralatan pada Lubricating Oil System dan 39 mode kegagalan secara keseluruhan. Dengan mengutamakan penggunaan FMEA dan Criticality Analysis, terdapat 6 jenis peralatan dengan total 24 mode kegagalan yang harus diprioritaskan terlebih dahulu. Peralatan tersebut adalah lubricating oil cooler, lubricating oil pump, engine service oil tank, engine reserve oil tank, Engine lubricating oil standby pump, dan lubricating oil transfer pump. Maintenance Task disusun berdasarkan hasil analisa FMECA tersebut untuk meminimalkan terjadinya mode kegagalan, yang mungkin terjadi pada peralatan. Adapun berdasarkan analisis lanjutan didapatkan komponen kritis dan mode kegagalan yang menjadi prioritas utama yaitu Engine Lubricating Stanby Pump dengan 5 mode kegagalan.

The Research Vessels Baruna Jaya I, II, III, and IV, managed by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), have almost reached the age of 30 years. Issues and performance degradation of the machinery frequently occur as the vessels age, and this decline in machinery performance is accompanied by a high frequency of vessel breakdowns. This situation has a detrimental impact not only on productivity and time but also on costs and public trust. In an effort to enhance the performance and reliability of R.V Baruna Jaya, it is necessary to develop a monitoring system for the Main Machinery System of the vessel to serve as a reference for performing maintenance analysis and determining maintenance tasks. The development of this ship engine performance monitoring system will utilize PLC-based technology and a SCADA-based monitoring system. This research aims to produce a foundation for the design of a monitoring system for the performance data of the main machinery of a research vessel. Additionally, the research conducts maintenance analysis to determine maintenance tasks. FMECA analysis has been carried out, yielding priority levels for the Lubricating Oil System equipment. The research findings indicate that there are 9 pieces of equipment in the Lubricating Oil System with a total of 39 failure modes. By prioritizing the use of FMEA and Criticality Analysis, there are 6 types of equipment with a total of 24 failure modes that need to be prioritized first. These equipment are the lubricating oil cooler, lubricating oil pump, engine service oil tank, engine reserve oil tank, Engine lubricating oil standby pump, and lubricating oil transfer pump. Maintenance tasks are organized based on the FMECA analysis results to minimize the occurrence of failure modes that may happen to the equipment. Furthermore, through further analysis, critical components and priority failure modes have been identified, with the Engine Lubricating Standby Pump having 5 failure modes as the top priority.
