Abstract
Kecelakaan lalu lintas menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kematian di dunia. Permasalahan kecelakaan lalu lintas ini terjadi Kota Surabaya, dimana hingga akhir 2022 terjadi peningkatan 26% kasus kecelakaan sepeda motor yang melibatkan pelajar SMA. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah perilaku pengendara. Perilaku aman berkendara (safety riding behavior) merupakan perilaku mengemudi yang aman sehingga bisa menghindari terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi safety riding behavior pelajar SMA di Surabaya dengan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Responden pada penelitian ini adalah pelajar SMA di Surabaya dengan jumlah responden yang didapatkan sebanyak 141 menggunakan teknik stratified sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 91% responden berperilaku aman berkendara dan 9% berperilaku tidak aman berkendara. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh faktor yang mempengaruhi safety riding behavior pelajar SMA di Surabaya adalah lingkungan (P-Value 0,018), peran masyarakat tempat tinggal/tetangga (P-Value 0,022), keberadaan polisi dan CCTV (P-Value 0,002), peran teman sebaya (P-Value 0,009), dan peran orang tua (P-Value 0,001). Sedangkan, faktor yang tidak mempengaruhi adalah beban tugas (P-Value 0,703) dan perilaku pengguna jalan lain (P-Value 0,134). Rekomendasi ditujukan untuk pelajar SMA di Surabaya yang tidak berperilaku aman dalam berkendara serta pihak kepolisian, orang tua, teman sebaya, dan masyarakat/tetangga.

Traffic accidents are one of the main causes of death in the world. This traffic accident problem occurred in the city of Surabaya, where-by the end of 2022 there was a 26% increase in motorcycle accident cases involving high school students. One of the contributing factors is rider behavior. Safety driving behavior can avoid traffic accidents. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the safety riding behavior of high school students in Surabaya using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. Respondents in this study were high school students in Surabaya with a total of 141 respondents obtained using a stratified sampling technique. The results showed that 91% of respondents had safety riding behavior and 9% had unsafe riding behavior. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found that the factors influencing the safety riding behavior of high school students in Surabaya were the environment (P-Value 0.018), the role of the community where they lived/neighbors (P-Value 0.022), the presence of the police and CCTV (P-Value 0.002), the role of peers (P-Value 0.009), and the role of parents (P-Value 0.001). While the factors that do not affect are the workload (P-Value 0.703) and the behavior of other road users (P-Value 0.134). Recommendations are intended for high school students in Surabaya who do not behave safely in riding as well as the police, parents, peers, and the community/neighbors.
