Abstract
Ekowisata saat ini semakin banyak diterapkan di berbagai daerah pariwisata dimana hal tersebut berpotensi untuk memberikan dampak positif yang menguntungkan bagi lingkungan melalui upaya-upaya perlindungan dan konservasi. Kabupaten Nganjuk merupakan daerah yang memiliki potensi pariwisata terutama pada sektor pariwisata alam, untuk melakukan inovasi yang bertujuan untuk dapat menunjang daya tarik pariwisata yang sudah ada perlu adanya strategi pengembangan yang melibatkan peran masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran masyarakat dalam strategi pengembangan ekowisata di Air Terjun Singokromo Desa Ngliman Kecamatan Sawahan Kabupaten Nganjuk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis studi kasus metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Air Terjun Singokromo memiliki potensi besar sebagai kawasan ekowisata yang menawarkan keindahan alam, nilai budaya, edukasi, religi, dan sejarah menarik dimana dalam konteks ekowisata memberikan edukasi dan interpretasi lingkungan alami kepada pengunjung untuk menjaga kelestarian ekologis. Peran masyarakat dapat dilihat dalam mempromosikan destinasi wisata melalui fungsi sebagai duta wisata efektif dengan menyampaikan informasi relevan tentang daya tarik lokal, budaya, pengalaman unik, pengetahuan lingkungan, warisan budaya, dan kehidupan sehari-hari di daerah tersebut, mereka memberikan wawasan berharga kepada pengunjung tentang kekayaan dan keunikan destinasi wisata tersebut. Strategi pengembangan ekowisata melibatkan penerapan prinsip ekowisata dan Community Based Tourism menuju terciptanya produk dan pelayanan berkualitas, seimbang, dan bertahap. Strategi tersebut memiliki komponen penting dalam mengoptimalkan potensi wisata alam, melindungi lingkungan, memperkuat partisipasi masyarakat, dan menciptakan manfaat ekonomi berkelanjutan.

Ecotourism is currently being increasingly implemented in various tourist areas where it has the potential to bring positive and beneficial impacts to the environment through protection and conservation efforts. NganjukNRegency is an area with great potential for tourism, particularly in the natural tourism sector. To enhance the existing tourism attractions, innovative development strategies involving the community's role are needed. The objective of this research is to investigate the role of the community in the development strategy of ecotourism at Singokromo Waterfall in Ngliman Village, Sawahan Sub-district, Nganjuk Regency. This study employs a qualitative method of case study, and data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings reveal that Singokromo Waterfall holds significant potential as an ecotourism destination that offers natural beauty, cultural value, education, religious significance, and intriguing history. In the context of ecotourism, it provides education and interpretation of the natural environment to visitors to promote ecological sustainability. The community plays a crucial role in promoting the tourist destination by effectively acting as tourism ambassadors, sharing relevant information about local attractions, culture, unique experiences, Environmental knowledge, cultural heritage, and daily life in the area. They provide valuable insights to visitors about the richness and uniqueness of the tourist destination. The development strategy of ecotourism involves implementing ecotourism principles and Community-Based Tourism to create high-quality, balanced, and gradual products and services. This strategy encompasses essential components to optimize the potential of natural tourism, protect the environment, strengthen community participation, and create sustainable economic benefits..
