Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan penurunan demand pada industri di Indonesia, salah satunya sektor manufaktur. Winapack Indonesia, sebuah UMKM produsen mesin packaging yang mengalami penurunan demand hingga 40%. Kondisi penjualan di Winapack belum kembali normal meskipun pandemi Covid-19 sudah berakhir. Kesulitan dalam memasarkan produk disebabkan oleh persaingan di industri mesin packaging yang semakin ketat. Produk-produk dari kompetitor baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri menjadi semakin canggih dan murah meskipun penjualannya mengalami penurunan yang signifikan selama pandemi. Salah satu strategi Winapack untuk tetap bersaing adalah mengembangkan teknologi pada produk dan fasilitas produksi. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi komponen-komponen teknologi dan kontribusinya pada kinerja perusahaan menggunakan Model Teknometrik. Kemudian untuk mendukung strategi perusahaan dalam mengembangkan inovasi teknologi, metode MOORA digunakan untuk merumuskan alternatif terbaik sebagai rekomendasi strategi pengembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu perusahaan dalam menerapkan prinsip appropriate technology, sehingga dapat meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan.

The covid-19 pandemic has caused a decline in demand for industries in Indonesia, one of which is the manufacturing sector. Winapack Indonesia, a SME packaging machine manufacturer, has experienced a decline in demand by up to 40%. Sales conditions at Winapack have not returned to normal even though the covid-19 pandemic has ended. Difficulties in marketing products are coused by increasingly fierce competition in the packaging machine industry. Products from competitors both domestically and abroad manufacturers have become increasingly sophisticated and cheap even though their sales have experienced a significant decline during the pandemic. One of Winapack's strategies to remain competitive is to develop technology for products and production facilities. This study identifies the technology components and their contribution to company performance using the technometric model. Then to support the company's strategy in developing technological innovation, the MOORA method is used to formulate the best alternative as a recommendation for technology development strategy. This research is expected to assist companies in applying the principles of appropriate technology, to increase the competitiveness of the company.
