Abstract

Generasi Z merupakan bagian penting di pasar tenaga kerja sebagai penerus generasi sebelumnya. Generasi Z memiliki minat tersendiri terhadap perusahaan startup. Jumlah startup di Indonesia paling tinggi terletak di wilayah Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek). Salah satu karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh generasi Z adalah tingkat turnover intention yang tinggi dan perilaku tersebut dapat merugikan perusahaan dari segi sosial, organisasi, dan keuangan. Beberapa faktor dapat mempengaruhi turnover intention diantaranya adalah perceived organizational support dan work-life balance. Penelitian memiliki tujuan mengetahui pengaruh perceived organizational support dan work-life balance terhadap turnover intention karyawan generasi Z di perusahaan startup Jabodetabek. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 165 orang yang terlahir antara tahun 1996 – 2010. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui metode kuantitatif dengan memberikan kuesioner kepada responden. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan PLS-SEM dan sobel test untuk menguji pengaruh mediasi work-life balance dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah faktor perceived organizational support dan work-life balance sebagai mediasi dapat memengaruhi turnover intention karyawan generasi Z di perusahaan startup wilayah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perceived organizational support berpengaruh terhadap work-life balance dan turnover intention. Selain itu, work-life balance memediasi pengaruh antara perceived organizational support dan turnover intention pada karyawan generasi Z di perusahaan startup daerah Jabodetabek. Perusahaan startup wilayah Jabodetabek diharapkan dapat memperhatikan aspek dukungan dan work-life balance pada karyawan generasi Z.

Generation Z is an important part of the labor market as the successor to the previous generation. Generation Z has its own interest in startup companies. The highest number of startups in Indonesia is located in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek). One of the characteristics possessed by generation Z is a high turnover rate of intention and these actions can harm the company in terms of social, organizational, and financial. Several factors can affect turnover intention including perceived organizational support and work-life balance. The research aims to determine the effect of perceived organizational support and work-life balance on the turnover intention of generation Z employees in Jabodetabek startup companies. Respondents in this study amounted to 165 people with birth years between 1996 – 2010. The research data was obtained through quantitative methods by giving questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis of this study used PLS-SEM and sobel test to examine the effect of work-life balance mediation with the aim of determining whether perceived organizational support and work-life balance factors as mediation can affect the turnover intention of generation Z employees in startup companies in the Jabodetabek area. The results showed that perceived organizational support affects work-life balance and turnover intention. In addition, work-life balance mediates the influence between perceived organizational support and turnover intention on generation Z employees in Jabodetabek startup companies. Startup companies in the Jabodetabek area are expected to pay attention to aspects of support and work-life balance for generation Z employees.
