Abstract

Diusulkan 4 solusi utama untuk mereduksi risiko human error yakni (1) fitur kamera ripeness detector, (2) fitur speaker suara & visual display, (3) kebijakan penumbuhan budaya kedisiplinan melalui egrekers of the month, dan (4) kebijakan perbaikan sistem inspeksi rutin independen.

The oil palm plantation industry has very good business prospects, but it still has many work posture risk and quality defects in wrong harvests which result in productivity and financial losses. Therefore, this research was carried out with the aim of: measure the risk of posture accidents; compare and determine the best working posture; identify and assess the human error; propose some recommendations for improving work posture and human error to make it more comfortable, healthy, and productive in oil palm harvesting work operations. The method used are: multisegmental biomechanics & compression force L5/S1, REBA, HEART, and SHERPA with data obtained through observation and interviews. There are 11 of the 18 sub-tasks that have a total of 13 human errors (HE) with element 2.7 which also need to be prioritized with HE in the form of: harvesting unripe fruit, not harvesting ripe fruit, failing to cut the fruit shaft/stalk and HEP of 0.958. Four main solutions are proposed to reduce the risk of human error: (1) ripeness detector camera feature, (2) sound speaker & visual display feature, (3) policy to grow the discipline culture through egrekers of the month policy; and (4) system improvement of independent routine inspection. From 6 static postures in the oil palm harvesting process, there are 2 high risk positions, 2 medium risk positions, and 2 low risk positions. The posture with the highest risk is in position 3: cutting the frond covering fruit with a compression force of 5314 N and the REBA score of 12, followed by position 4,1,2 with total 13 root causes. Five main solutions are proposed to improve work postur: (1) Ergonomics handle (anthropometric); (2) Spring-loaded handle system connected to the egrek knife; (3) Real time connected camera and display features; (4) Use of light, strong and sharp materials: Aluminum, Aisi 4340 Alloy Steel, and BFRP; (5) Recommendations for work postures for oil palm harvesting.
