Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi informasi pada abad ke-21 mendukung penggunaan sosial media dalam berbagai sektor. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu sektor dengan dominasi penggunaan media sosial yang tinggi, khususnya jenjang perguruan tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil pra-survei, media sosial menjadi sumber informasi sekaligus media pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa. Ketersediaan informasi yang melimpah dapat diperoleh dimanapun dan kapanpun yang secara bersamaan memberikan baik dampak positif maupun dampak negatif pada proses belajar. Penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan dan kompulsif dapat memicu timbulnya social media fatigue (SMF). Sebanyak 84% responden menyatakan SMF atas akibat penggunaan media sosial berpotensi memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial khususnya YouTube terhadap perilaku belajar mahasiswa dengan kelelahan media sosial sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dengan software SmartPLS 4. Penilaian dalam kuesioner mengadaptasi instrumen pengukuran kuesioner Youtube as Learning Resources, Social Media Fatigue Scale (SMFS), dan perilaku belajar di perguruan tinggi. Variabel laten eksogen atau variabel independen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media sosial (YouTube) dan variabel laten endogen atau variabel dependen adalah perilaku belajar serta kelelahan media sosial (YouTube) sebagai variabel mediasi. Hasil menunjukkan hubungan antara penggunaan media sosial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku belajar dengan p-value sebesar 0,000. Sementara, hubungan antara kelelahan media sosial terhadap perilaku belajar memiliki p-value sebesar 0,018 yang menunjukan hubungan keduanya berpengaruh signifikan dan hubungan antara penggunaan media sosial terhadap kelelahan media sosial memiliki p-value sebesar 0,473 mengindikasikan hubungan yang tidak signifikan. Terakhir, nyatanya kelelahan media sosial gagal memediasi hubungan antara penggunaan media sosial dan perilaku belajar dengan p-value sebesar 0,536. Kelelahan media sosial dirasa kurang tepat untuk memediasi hubungan keduanya karena pada faktanya mahasiswa dapat mengatur dan membatasi waktu penggunaan YouTube mereka dengan bijak untuk menghindari terjadinya kelelahan

The development of information technology in the 21st century supports the use of social media in various sectors. Education is one of the sectors with a high dominance of social media usage, especially at the university level. Based on the pre-survey results, social media has become a source of information as well as a learning resource for the students. The abundant availability of information can be obtained anywhere and anytime which simultaneously has both positive and negative impacts on the learning process. Excessive and compulsive use of social media may lead to social media fatigue (SMF). About 84% of respondents stated that SMF due to the use of social media has the potential to have an influence on learning behavior. This research aims to investigate the effect of social media usage, especially YouTube on university students' learning behavior with social media fatigue as a mediating variable. The method used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling- Partial Least Square (SEM) with the SmartPLS 4 software. The assessment in the questionnaire adapts the measurement instruments of the Youtube as Learning Resources questionnaire, Social Media Fatigue Scale (SMFS), and learning behavior in higher education. The exogenous latent variable or independent variable used in this study is the use of social media (YouTube) and the endogenous latent variable or dependent variable is learning behavior and social media fatigue (YouTube) as a mediating variable. The results show that the relationship between social media use has a significant effect on learning behavior with a p-value of 0.000. Meanwhile, the relationship between social media fatigue on learning behavior has a p-value of 0.018 which indicates that the relationship between the two has a significant effect and the relationship between social media usage and social media fatigue has a p-value of 0.473 indicating an insignificant relationship. Finally, social media fatigue failed to mediate the relationship between social media use and learning behavior with a p-value of 0.536. Social media fatigue is considered insufficient to mediate the relationship between the two because in fact students can organize and limit their YouTube usage time wisely to avoid fatigue.
