Abstract

Kebutuhan informasi yang semakin cepat mendorong terciptanya teknologi informasi yang cepat, tepat dan aktual. Penerapan teknologi informasi telah menyebar hampir di semua bidang, tidak terkecuali pada perpustakaan, perpustakaan mulai menyediakan koleksi dalam bentuk digital. Sehingga dibuat sistem repository yang menjadi wadah penyimpanan data di perpustakaan digital agar menjadi lebih terstruktur dan sistematis. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya (ITS) sendiri sudah memiliki repository yang dapat diakses secara online melalui website yang memuat salinan digital karya ilmiah pada seluruh departemen yang ada di ITS. Namun akses kumpulan Tugas Akhir Departemen Teknik Biomedik dibatasi hanya dalam waktu satu tahun. Dan secara khusus Departemen Teknik Biomedik belum memilki repository-nya sendiri. Sistem informasi repository lokal dan perekomendasian riset yang diajukan dibangun dengan menggunakan metode analisis semantik yaitu dengan melakukan pengambilan database yang berasal dari koleksi Tugas Akhir pada Departemen Teknik Biomedik serta melakukan penguerian ke search engine pada website publikasi jurnal internasional (IEEE dan Science Direct). Tersediannya sistem informasi dan perekomendasian riset dengan metode analisis semantik dan repository lokal departemen dapat menyediakan sistem informasi dan perekomendasian riset yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal, khususnya untuk mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Biomedik sendiri yang sedang mencari informasi topik Tugas Akhir yang sudah berlangsung di departemen. sehingga dapat dilakukan pengembangan pada topik yang sudah ada atau bahkan memulai topik baru. Berdasarkan sistem pengujian menggunakan metode System Usability Scale pada 10 subjek untuk menguji keakuratan pencarian dan rekomendasi diperoleh nilai rata-rata 86 dan pengujian fungsionalitas sistem diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84,75. Sistem informasi repository lokal BMEarchive ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan kebermanfaatan dengan menambahkan informasi mengenai judul yang paling banyak dilihat atau diakses oleh pengguna.

The increasing need for rapid information had driven the creation of fast, accurate, and up-todate information technology. The implementation of information technology had spread to almost all fields, including libraries, which had started providing collections in digital form. This had led to the development of a repository system to store data in a structured and systematic manner in digital libraries.Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya (ITS) had its own online repository accessible through a website containing digital copies of academic works from all departments at ITS. However, access to the collection of Final Year Projects from the Biomedical Engineering Department had been limited to only one year. Specifically, the Biomedical Engineering Department did not yet have its own repository.The local repository and research recommendation information system proposed in this study was built using semantic analysis method. This involved retrieving a database from the collection of Final Year Projects in the Biomedical Engineering Department and querying the search engine of international journal publications (IEEE and Science Direct). The availability of this information system and research recommendation using semantic analysis method, along with the local department repository, was expected to provide a valuable resource for Biomedical Engineering students who were seeking information on existing Final Year Project topics in the department. This would enable them to develop existing topics further or even initiate new ones. Based on testing using the System Usability Scale method on 10 subjects to evaluate search accuracy and recommendation, an average score of 86 was obtained. Furthermore, functional testing of the system resulted in an average score of 84.75. The BMEarchive local repository information system could be further developed to increase its usefulness by adding information on the most viewed or accessed titles by users.
