Abstract
Teknik penyederhanaan analisis digunakan untuk penentuan personal protective equipment (PPE) dari bahaya busur api (arc flash) dengan berdasarkan IEEE std. 1584-2002 dan overcurrent protective device (OCPD). Hasil penyederhanaan ini untuk mempermudah menentukan klasifikasi dari Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Sehingga tidak semua harus dihitung menggunakan perhitungan matematis arc flash. Cukup dengan melihat kurva proteksi dan kurva batas saja. Studi aktual mengenai penyederhanaan analisa busur api dilakukan pada PT Pupuk Indonesia Utilitas. Pada hasil akhir dari analisa busur api dengan menggunakan metode kurva batasan energi didapatkan proses penentuan kategori PPE yang lebih singkat daripada standart IEEE 1584-2002.

The analysis simplification technique is used to determine personal protective equipment (PPE) from arc flash hazards based on IEEE std. 1584-2002 and overcurrent protective device (OCPD). The results of this simplification make it easier to determine the classification of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). So not everything has to be calculated using arc flash mathematical calculations. It is enough just to look at the protection curve and the limit curve. The actual study regarding the simplification of arc flash analysis was carried out at PT Pupuk Indonesia Utilitas. In the final result of arc analysis using the energy limit curve method, it was found that the process of determining the PPE category was shorter than the IEEE 1584-2002 standard.
