Abstract

This paper discusses research on the effect of a molarity of 8 M on geopolymer concrete using type C Fly Ash. pairs of cylindrical specimens due to their small standard deviation. with that many samples, the researchers were able to find the characteristic compressive strength for geopolymer concrete with a molarity of 8. This concrete was made by mixing fly ash, Alkali Activator, superplasticizer, gravel, sand and water. The alkaline activators used are Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3), and superplasticizer (SP) used is the brand Sika Viscocrete 3115 N, used with a content of 5.0%, is used to increase the workability of fresh concrete so it is easy to work with. Mixing the molarity material in the form of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) is carried out using the dry mixing method, this method is used because it can improve the quality of geopolymer concrete, Concrete treatment is carried out by storing geopolymer concrete in a closed plastic box for 28 days. This study aims to find out how to evaluate the quality of geopolymer concrete with 8M and find out the performance of geopolymer concrete against several tests, The tests carried out are the Slump test (SNI 1972:2008), UPV Test (BS 1881-203; ASTM C597) Permability Test (SN 505 252/1, Annex E) Hammer Test (ASTM C805) and compressive strength (SNI 1974-2011). Before carrying out geopolymer concrete testing. Geopolymer concrete constituent materials also need to be tested, such as XRF and XRD tests for fly ash. Molarity material mixing in the form of NaOH is carried out using the dry mixing method because it can improve the quality of geopolymer concrete, After fresh concrete is successfully made, slump testing is carried out to determine the workability of concrete. The treatment carried out is room temperature treatment wrapped in a plastic bag for 28 days. The result we want to achieve is the characteristic quality obtained from 8 molatity geopolymer concrete as a reference for the future geopolymer concrete manufacturing standard, which is 2.26 Mpa with a standard deviation of 1.24 Mpa, The test obtained is the 230 mm Slump test, resistivity test obtained possible corrosive results for 30 pairs of samples, correlation of compressive strength test to UPV obtained R2 which is 0.3, correlation of compressive strength test to Hammer obtained R2 which is 0.3 and compressive strength test obtained on average 3.16 Mpa, from the results of this test is expected to be able to help various types of geopolymer concrete research further.
