Abstract

Metode magnetotelurik (MT) merupakan metode geofisika pasif yang berperan penting dalam eksplorasi geotermal karena mampu mendelineasi area prospek panas bumi. Metode magnetotelurik memiliki permasalahan umum yakni keberadaan distorsi galvanik yang dapat mendistorsi atau mengubah respon MT regional sehingga menyebabkan kesalahan interpretasi. Penelitian perlu menghilangkan distorsi galvanik menggunakan analisis phase tensor dalam bentuk merotasi data MT ke arah strike yang tidak terpengaruh oleh distorsi galvanik yaitu tipper strike. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis pengaruh analisis phase tensor menggunakan rotasi tipper strike dan mengkarakterisasi bawah permukaan magnetotelurik 2D area prospek panasbumi hasil analisis tipper strike. Hasil dari plot strike masing-masing stasiun menunjukkan variasi mulai dari MTE-01 37,5°, MTE-02 40°, dan seterusnya. Hasil plot strike keseluruhan stasiun menunjukkan sudut 35°. Sudut tipper strike perlu divalidasi dengan strike regional area penelitian yang bernilai 30°. Penampang Magnetotelurik 2D rotasi keseluruhan stasiun line 1 dan line 2 lebih sesuai dengan model tentatif panas bumi G. Endut dan penampang geologi line 1 dan line ditinjau dari keberadaan produk G. Endut (Aliran Piroklastik Endut, Lava Endut 2 merupakan produk vulkanik yang berada di permukaan, Batuan Vulkanik Pra Endut), Sedimen Badui diperkirakan batuan impermeable berperan sebagai batuan penudung, Batuan Piroklastik yang berfungsi sebagai reservoir sebagai bagian dari Formasi Cimapag dan Saraweh yang mengalami kekar sehingga memiliki permeabilitas dan porositas yang baik., dan Intrusi Andesit diperkirakan sumber panas. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil inversi yang memiliki RMS Error dan Roughness terendah dibanding variasi rotasi lainnya sehingga membuktikan bahwa rotasi keseluruhan mempengaruhi hasil inversi yang mewakili kondisi geologi sesungguhnya dan relatif tidak terlalu kasar.

The magnetotelluric (MT) method is a passive geophysical method that plays an important role in geothermal exploration because it is able to delineate geothermal prospect areas (). The magnetotelluric method has a common problem, namely the presence of galvanic distortion that can distort or change the regional MT response, causing interpretation errors. Research needs to eliminate galvanic distortion using phase tensor analysis in the form of rotating MT data in the direction of the strike that is not affected by galvanic distortion, namely tipper strike. The purpose of the research is to analyze the effect of phase tensor analysis using tipper strike rotation and characterize the 2D subsurface magnetotelluric of the geothermal prospect area as a result of tipper strike analysis. The results of the strike plot of each station show variations ranging from MTE-01 37.5°, MTE-02 40°, and so on. The overall station strike plot results show an angle of 35°. The tipper strike angle needs to be validated with the regional strike of the study area which is 30°. The 2D magnetotelluric cross section of the overall rotation of line 1 and line 2 stations is more in line with the tentative geothermal model of G. Endut and the geological cross section of line 1 and line in terms of the presence of G. Endut products. Endut (Endut Pyroclastic Flow, Endut Lava 2 is a volcanic product that is on the surface, Pre Endut Volcanic Rocks), Badui Sediments are thought to be impermeable rocks that act as shelter rocks, Pyroclastic Rocks that function as reservoirs as part of the Cimapag and Saraweh Formations that are brittle so that they have good permeability and porosity and Andesite Intrusions are thought as heat source. This is shown by the inversion results which have the lowest RMS Error and Roughness compared to other rotation variations, proving that the overall rotation affects the inversion results which represent the real geological conditions and are relatively not too rough.
