Abstract

Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) merupakan event karnaval kelas dunia yang diadakan di Jember, Jawa Timur. Event ini telah mendapatkan pengakuan dan perhatian dari masyarakat dan media, serta berhasil menarik wisatawan domestik dan mancanegara. Saat ini, suvenir yang ada di JFC Store kurang mencerminkan kekhasan JFC sebagai event fashion dan karnaval sehingga perlu adanya inovasi dalam pengembangan suvenir, terutama dalam bidang fashion karena memiliki potensi sektor ekonomi kreatif tertinggi ke dua yang banyak diminati. Pembaruan terhadap pengonsepan tentang suvenir yang dapat berfungsi sebagai pengingat atau kenang-kenangan sehingga secara tidak langsung dapat mempromosikan event Jember Fashion Carnaval. Penggunaan ilustrasi dapat menjadi pilihan dalam penggambaran visualisasi dalam suvenir fashion yang dapat membuat orang memahami event Jember Fashion Carnaval sehingga dapat mendukung branding serta pemasaran event secara tidak langsung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi studi literasi, observasi, analisis target konsumen, studi eksperimental, depth interview, protoyping, dan user testing. Hasil dari data yang didapat kemudian dianalisa sehingga menjadi acuan dalam menentukan konsep. Keyword yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah “Discover The Creativity of Jember Fashion Carnaval” dimana menjelaskan kreativitas, pelopor, serta keunikan dari event Jember Fashion Carnaval. Perancangan ini akan menghasilkan beberapa altenatif visual dalam ilustrasi tanpa menghilangkan detail dan karakteristik visual Jember Fashion Carnaval. Kemudian hasil tersebut akan diimplementasikan pada apparel yang terdiri dari pakaian dan aksesoris. Suvenir fashion ini diharap dapat menjadi alternatif suvenir untuk pihak JFC dan masyarakat yang datang pada rangkaian kegiatan Jember Fashion Carnaval, sehingga dapat menguatkan dan mencerminkan identitas event Jember Fashion Carnaval.

Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) is a world-class carnival event held in Jember, East Java. This event has gained recognition and attention from the community and media, as well as successfully attracting domestic and international tourists. Currently, the souvenirs available at the JFC Store do not adequately reflect the uniqueness of JFC as a fashion and carnival event. Therefore, there is a need for innovation in souvenir development, especially in the fashion field, as it has the second-highest potential in the highly sought-after creative economy sector. An update is needed in the conception of souvenirs that can serve as reminders or keepsakes, indirectly promoting the Jember Fashion Carnaval event. The use of illustrations can be an option for visual representation in fashion souvenirs, enabling people to understand the Jember Fashion Carnaval event and thereby supporting its branding and marketing efforts indirectly. The research methods used in this study include literature review, observation, consumer’s target analysis, experimental studies, depth interviews, prototyping, and user testing. The data obtained are then analyzed to determine the concept. The keywords used in this design are "Discover The Creativity of Jember Fashion Carnaval," which describe the creativity, pioneering spirit, and uniqueness of the Jember Fashion Carnaval event.
This design will result in several visual alternatives in illustrations without losing the details and visual characteristics of Jember Fashion Carnaval. These results will then be implemented on apparel, including clothing and accessories. It is hoped that these fashion souvenirs can become an alternative souvenir for the JFC and the community participating in the Jember Fashion Carnaval activities, thereby strengthening and reflecting the identity of the Jember Fashion Carnaval event.
