Abstract

In overseeing all aspects of safety in ships and ports, port maintenance is one of the efforts to improve the country's economy where the port will serve as a place of production, acquisition, exploitation and distribution of marine resources. Therefore, the dredging work required to maintain the depth of channels and jetties is 5 years and the remaining depreciation period is calculated once when new dredging is required. Dredging and Remediation Service Provider or PT Rukindo, a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Regional II has a fleet of 20 dredgers of various types to conduct dredging operations in Indonesian ports. The dredging is to relocate underwater sediments for the construction and maintenance of waterways, embankments, and sea transportation infrastructure,. To overcome siltation due to sedimentation that continues to accumulate in the port channel, maintenance dredging work is carried out with the aim of maintaining navigation requirements in the port shipping channel. This research study requires which dredger is suitable for ports in the Pelindo Regional II operational area, taking into account the depth of the shipping channel and the width of the shipping channel. The main dredge volume and maintenance dredge volume are 97,628 rb-m³ per year and 4,867 rb-m³ with the selected dredger being the TSHD 5 type at 107,997 Rp-Jt/year.
