Abstract

Dokumentasi merupakan artefak yang berisi informasi dari sebuah perangkat lunak yang menyertainya. Sebuah dokumen yang baik yaitu dokumen yang dapat memberikan informasi secara lengkap dan akurat,ditulis dengan baik, mudah dibaca dan mudah dimengerti. Sebuah dokumen yang baik dapat menunjukkan kualitas dari perangkat lunak tersebut. Perangkat lunak dapat dikatakan berkualitas tinggi jika disertai dengan dokumentasi yang lengkap, terbaru atau memberikan informasi yang benar. Pusdatin X belum memiliki standar dokumentasi yang diterapkan dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak. Dokumentasi yang dibuat tidak dapat dipahami dengan jelas oleh orang lain kecuali oleh pembuat dokumen itu sendiri dan orang lain yang dijelaskan secara langsung oleh pembuat dokumen. Dokumentasi yang diterapkan tidak mengacu pada standar tertentu. Dengan itu dilakukan penyusunan standar dokumentasi perangkat lunak untuk bisa mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Diusulkan penelitian dilakukan dengan empat tahapan sebagai berikut. Pertama, diagnosis masalah dengan menentukan proses mengidentifikasi dan menentukan penyebab masalah yang terjadi terkait dokumentasi. Kedua, perencanaan standar dokumentasi dengan merencanakan metode dan standar dokumen yang akan diterapkan. Ketiga, Implementasi standar dokumentasi dengan pelatihan dan penyusunan dokumentasi. Keempat, evaluasi standar dokumentasi dengan melakukan pengumpulan data kualitatif melewati inspeksi dokumen menggunakan metode RISDM untuk menilai apakah standar dokumentasi yang diterapkan sudah menyelesaikan masalah yang ada. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan rekomendasi standar dokumentasi teknis perangkat lunak pada Tim pengembang aplikasi di pusat data dan informasi X.

Documentation is an artifact that contains information from a software that accompanies it. A good document is one that can provide complete and accurate information, is well written, easy to read and easy to understand. A good document can show the quality of the software. Software can be said to be of high quality if it is accompanied by complete, up-to-date documentation or provides correct information. Pusdatin X does not yet have documentation standards applied in software development. The documentation created cannot be clearly understood by others except by the document creator itself and others who are directly described by the document creator. The documentation applied does not refer to a particular standard. With that, the preparation of software documentation standards was carried out to be able to overcome these problems. The author proposes that the research be conducted in four stages as follows. First, problem diagnosis by determining the process of identifying and determining the causes of problems that occur related to documentation. Second, documentation standard planning by planning the methods and document standards to be applied. Third, implementation of documentation standards with training and preparation of documentation. Fourth, evaluation of documentation standards by document inspection using RISDM to assess whether the implemented documentation standards have solved the existing problems. This research is expected to produce recommendations for software technical documentation standards on the application development team at the X data and information center.
