Abstract

Pada penelitian ini diajukan desain antena planar spiral dengan pencatu berupa CPW (coplanar waveguide) untuk pita frekuensi S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, dan Ku-Band. Penelitian diawali tahap pra-desain untuk perhitungan dimensi antena. Kemudian, dilanjutkan pembuatan desain dengan menggunakan metode numerik FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain). Bahan yang digunakan adalah PCB (printed circuit board) yang terdiri dari substrat Fr-4 dan tembaga sebagai ground, feedline dan spiral peradiasi. Dimensi antena memiliki panjang ,lebar, dan tinggi sebesar 30 x 30 x 1,635 mm3. Desain antena yang diajukan adalah antena dengan dua spiral, empat spiral, dan empat spiral yang diperpanjang. Setelah desain telah dibuat, dilakukan simulasi untuk memberi gambaran performa kerja antena. Kemudian, dilanjutkan dengan fabrikasi antena dan pengukuran dengan VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). Hasil pengukuran dan simulasi dibandingkan. Didapat data pengukuran untuk antena planar dua spiral bekerja pada pita frekuensi S-Band (2,11-2,19 GHz , 3,4 -3,471 GHz), C-Band (7,39-7,63 GHz), X-Band (9,14-9,56 GHz), dan Ku-Band (12,08-12,13 GHz, 13,79 -14,29 GHz, 15,16-15,47 GHz, 15,94-16 GHz, 17,13-17,69 GHz). Antena planar empat spiral bekerja pada pita frekuensi S-Band (2,33-2,45 GHz, 3,58-3,66 GHz), C-Band (4,497-4,58 GHz, 6,16-6,39 GHz, 7,55-7,73 GHz), X-Band (8,24-8,50 GHz, 8,83-9,12 GHz), dan Ku-Band (12,41-12,84 GHz, 12,9-15,289 GHz, 15,99-16,84 GHz). Antena planar empat spiral diperpanjang bekerja pada pita frekuensi S-Band (2,446-2,505 GHz, 3,59-3,6905 GHz), C-Band (4,469-4,555 GHz, 7,146-7,285, 7,56-7,85 GHz), X-Band (8,4-8,624 GHz , 9,095-9,327 GHz), dan Ku-Band (12,998-13,95 GHz, 14,39-14,515 GHz 15,304-16,41 GHz, 16,87-17,234 GHz).

This research proposes a planar spiral antenna design with a CPW (coplanar waveguide) for the S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band frequency bands. The research begins with a pre-design stage for calculating the dimensions of the antenna. Then, the design is continued using the FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) numerical method. After the design has been made, simulations are carried out to give an idea of the antenna's working performance. This was followed by antenna fabrication and measurement with a VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). Measurement and simulation results were compared. The measurement data for the two-spiral planar antenna works in the frequency bands of S-Band (2.11-2.19 GHz, 3.4-3.471 GHz), C-Band (7.39-7.63 GHz), X-Band (9.14-9.56 GHz), and Ku-Band (12.08-12.13 GHz, 13.79-14.29 GHz, 15.16-15.47 GHz, 15.94-16 GHz, 17.13-17.69 GHz). The extended four-spiral planar antenna works in the frequency bands of S-Band (2.446-2.505 GHz, 3.59-3.6905 GHz), C-Band (4.469-4.555 GHz, 7.146-7, 285, 7.56-7.85 GHz), X-Band (8.4-8.624 GHz, 9.095-9.327 GHz), and Ku-Band (12.998-13.95 GHz, 14.39-14.515 GHz 15.304-16.41 GHz, 1687-17.234 GHz).
