Abstract

Tanaman jamur tiram (Pleurotus ostreatus) merupakan salah satu hasil pertanian dalam sektor tanaman pangan yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat karena aman untuk dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini membandingkan pertumbuhan jamur tiram menggunakan media tanam serbuk sabut kelapa dan serbuk kayu sengon dengan menerapkan sistem instrumentasi berbasis Arduino untuk mengoptimalkan kondisi lingkungan di dalam kumbung jamur. Digunakan dua jenis media tanam jamur yaitu dengan berbahan sabut kelapa dan serbuk kayu sengon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media tanam sabut kelapa memberikan pertumbuhan awal jamur tiram yang sedikit tertunda dibandingkan dengan serbuk kayu sengon pada hari pertama. Namun, pada hari kedua sampai hari keempat, pertumbuhan jamur tiram dengan media sabut kelapa menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang lebih padat dan jumlah bakal buah yang lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan media tanam serbuk kayu sengon. Dari data grafik suhu, terlihat bahwa kecenderungan mengalami kenaikan pada jam 11.00 WIB dan penurunan pada jam 15.00 WIB, sedangkan kelembapan mengalami fluktuasi dengan kenaikan pada jam 11.00 WIB dan 19.00 WIB, serta penurunan pada jam 15.00 WIB. Penggunaan sistem instrumentasi berbasis Arduino membantu dalam memantau dan mengatur kondisi lingkungan di dalam kumbung jamur secara otomatis, sehingga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan hasil dalam budidaya jamur tiram. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media tanam sabut kelapa lebih baik daripada serbuk kayu sengon dalam pembudidayaan jamur tiram. Dukungan sistem instrumentasi yang tepat dapat memperkuat potensi media tanam sabut kelapa sebagai pilihan yang lebih baik dalam budidaya jamur tiram.

Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is one of the agricultural products in the food crop sector which is in great demand by the public because it is safe for consumption. This study compares the growth of oyster mushrooms using growing media of coconut coir dust and sengon wood powder by applying an Arduino-based instrumentation system to optimize environmental conditions in mushroom cages. Two types of mushroom growing media were used, namely coconut fiber and sengon wood powder. The results showed that the coco coir growing media gave the initial growth of oyster mushrooms which was slightly delayed compared to sengon sawdust on the first day. However, on the second to fourth day, the growth of oyster mushrooms using coconut coir media showed denser growth and a greater number of ovaries compared to sengon sawdust growing media. From the temperature graph data, it can be seen that the tendency is to increase at 11.00 WIB and decrease at 15.00 WIB, while humidity fluctuates with an increase at 11.00 WIB and 19.00 WIB, and decreases at 15.00 WIB. The use of an Arduino-based instrumentation system helps in monitoring and regulating environmental conditions in the mushroom barn automatically, so as to increase efficiency and yield in oyster mushroom cultivation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that coconut coir growing media is better than sengon sawdust in oyster mushroom cultivation. Appropriate instrumentation system support can strengthen the potential of coconut coir growing media as a better choice in oyster mushroom cultivation.
