Abstract

Kampus ITS membangun sarana pendidikan untuk mengakomodir kebutuhan mahasiswa yang jumlahnya diperkirakan akan terus bertambah dari waktu ke waktu. Perubahan ini memiliki kelemahan yaitu menurunkan kualitas lingkungan sekitar seperti perubahan penggunaan lahan yang signifikan. Salah satu cara ITS mempersiapkan hal tersebut adalah dengan mengimplementasikan ide smart eco campus pada tahun 2011 untuk melestarikan ruang hijau di lingkungan kampus ITS, termasuk penyediaan kolam air hujan di kawasan kampus ITS. Namun, dalam realisasinya terjadi disparitas infrastruktur abu-abu dan biru hijau yang semakin besar, kolam tampungan di wilayah ITS sudah bertahun-tahun dibiarkan begitu saja padahal sudah tidak menarik dan berbau tidak sedap. Selain itu, saat musim hujan deras, area kampus sering terendam banjir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan suatu Arahan Pengembangan yang diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi di kawasan kolam tampungan kampus ITS berdasarkan preferensi mahasiswa. Dalam mewujudkan tujuan tersebut, terlebih dahulu penulis akan mengidentifikasi kondisi dan permasalahan terkait kualitas kolam tampungan yang terjadi di kawasan kampus ITS dengan menggunakan Content Analysis dan Importance Performance Analysis. Berdasarkan identifikasi kondisi, permasalahan, dan preferensi mahasiswa terhadap kolam tampungan di Kawasan Kampus ITS, penulis akan merumuskan Arah Pengembangan yang difokuskan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan menggunakan Analisis Deskriptif Kualitatif. Alhasil, beberapa arahan pengembangan kawasan tambak di ITS adalah membangun sistem drainase terpisah dengan filter, menyediakan area pendukung dengan komposisi seimbang, menyediakan bangku dan bahan atap pilihan, membuat sirkulasi jalan setapak dengan naungan dan tanah beraspal, mengatur pekerjaan staf kebersihan lebih efektif dan membuat diskusi kelompok, menaikkan elevasi jalan dan mempertimbangkan pilihan vegetasi, menyediakan fasilitas sanitasi dengan petunjuk arah yang jelas dan label sampah yang seragam, menyediakan fasilitas penerangan dan keamanan, dan membagi jenis kealamian kolam tampungan berdasarkan aktivitas pengguna.

The ITS campus builds educational facilities to accommodate the demands of students, whose numbers are anticipated to increase over time. This change has a drawback that lowers the quality of the surroundings such as significant land use change. One way ITS prepares for this is by implementing the smart eco campus idea in 2011 to preserve green spaces on the ITS campus, includes the provision of stormwater ponds in the ITS campus region. However, there are growing disparities between gray to blue green infrastructure in realization, the ponds in the ITS region have been left alone for many years even though they are unattractive and smell unpleasant. Additionally, during the heavy rainy season, the campus area frequently floods. This study aims to formulate a Development Directions that is expected to overcome the problems that occur in the ITS campus pond area based on student preferences. In realizing this goal, author will first identify conditions and problems related to the quality of ponds that occur in the ITS campus area using Content Analysis and Importance Performance Analysis. Based on the identification of conditions, problems, and student preferences for ponds in the ITS Campus Area, author will formulate a Development Directions that is focused on overcoming the problems that using Descriptive Qualitative Analysis. As a result, several development directions for the stormwater ponds area at ITS are building a separate drainage system with filter, providing supporting areas with balanced composition, providing benches and roofs selected materials, making footpaths circulation with shading and paved ground, arranging cleaning staff's work more effectively and creating group discussions, raising roads elevation and consider the choice of vegetation, providing sanitation facilities with clear directions and uniform trash labels, providing lighting facilities and security, and dividing the types of ponds naturalness based on user activity.
