Abstract

Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya merupakan museum yang berlokasi di Kota Surabaya, tepatnya berada di kompleks Tugu Pahlawan Surabaya. Museum ini didirikan pada tanggal 10 November tahun 1991. Museum ini banyak menyimpan berbagai koleksi dan informasi sejarah yang berkaitan dengan peristiwa perjuangan arek-arek suroboyo melawan para penjajah pada tanggal 10 November 1945 di Kota Surabaya. Namun, museum ini masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan di dalamnya dari segi environmental graphic design. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan perancangan environmental graphic design di dalam Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya. Fokus dari perancangan ini adalah untuk merancang sebuah environmental graphic design yang memudahkan pengunjung dalam menjelajahi dan mengakses berbagai informasi yang ada di dalam museum. Beberapa tahapan metode penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi observasi di dalam Museum Sepuluh Nopember, depth interview kepada pihak yang terlibat dalam pengelolaan Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya, serta survey kepada beberapa pengunjung yang pernah mengunjungi Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya minimal sebanyak 1 kali, baik survey secara langsung maupun tidak langsung/online. Metode penelitian yang telah dilakukan akan membantu dalam proses konsep dalam perancangan environmental graphc design Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya. Perancangan environmental graphic design Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya diharapkan dapat membantu menghadirkan pengalaman yang berbeda dan lebih baik dalam mengunjungi sebuah museum. Sehingga pengunjung bisa mendapatkan hal yang berharga dan bermanfaat secara optimal mengenai informasi dan wawasan seputar peristiwa 10 November 1945 yang terjadi di Kota Surabaya setelah mengunjungi Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya.

Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Museum is a museum located in the city of Surabaya, precisely located in the Tugu Pahlawan Surabaya complex. The museum was established on November 10th, 1991. This museum holds many collections and historical information related to the events of the struggle of arek-arek suroboyo against the invaders on November 10, 1945 in the city of Surabaya. However, this museum still has some shortcomings in terms of environmental graphic design. Therefore, it is necessary to design an environmental graphic design in the Sepuluh Nopember Museum Surabaya. The focus of this design is to design an environmental graphic design that makes it easier for visitors to explore and access various information in the museum. Some stages of the research method include observation in the Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Museum, depth interview to the parties involved in the management of the Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Museum, as well as a survey to several visitors who have visited the Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Museum at least once, both direct and indirect/online surveys. The research methods that have been carried out will help in the conceptual process in designing the environmental graphic design of Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Museum. The design of environmental graphic design of Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Museum is expected to help present a different and better experience in visiting a museum. So that visitors can get valuable and useful things optimally about information and insights about the events of November 10, 1945 that occurred in the city of Surabaya after visiting the Sepuluh Nopember Museum Surabaya.
