Abstract

Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana alam yang sangat mengancam kelangsungan bagi seluruh makhluk hidup di muka bumi. Banjir sendiri dapat disebabkan oleh faktor alam dan juga faktor manusia. Salah satu penyebab banjir secara alam yaitu ketidakmampuan sungai dalam menampung debit air hujan. Sungai Semajid merupakan salah satu sungai besar yang terletak di Kabupaten Pamekasan. Hampir setiap tahun Kota Pamekasan mengalami banjir karena meluapnya debit air ke daerah yang ada di bantaran sungai. Meluapnya air ini dikarenakan penampang Sungai Semajid tidak mampu lagi menampung debit air yang berasal dari hujan dan juga dari hulu. Sebelumnya Sungai Semajid sudah dinormalisasi namun penampang sungai masih belum mampu dalam menampung debit banjir dikarenakan penampang Sungai Semajid dari tahun ke tahun terus mengalami penurunan sedangkan curah hujan dari waktu ke waktu semakin tinggi. Untuk mengetahui debit limpahan yang berasal dari sungai diperlukan analisa dengan bantuan program HEC-RAS agar nantinya didapatkan penanganan yang tepat untuk mengatasi debit limpahan tersebut. Karena metode normalisasi sungai tidak lagi efektif karena keadaan topografi dan curah hujan yang semakin tinggi dari waktu ke waktu, maka diperlukan bangunan tambahan berupa kolam retensi disekitar Sungai Semajid agar dapat menampung debit limpahan yang dihasilkan dari Sungai Semajid tersebut. Dengan dibangunnya kolam retensi didapatkan bahwa debit banjir sebesar 102,99 m3/dt berkurang menjadi 87,03 m3/dt sehingga sebagian Sungai Semajid tidak terjadi banjir. Dengan kata lain, metode kolam retensi dapat mereduksi banjir yang terjadi pada Sungai Semajid.

Flood is a natural disaster that seriously threatens the defense of all living things on earth. Flood itself can be caused by natural factors as well as human factors. One of the natural causes of flooding is the inability of rivers to accommodate rainwater discharge. Semajid River is one of the major rivers located in Pamekasan Regency. Almost every year Pamekasan City experiences flooding due to the overflow of water discharge into areas along the river banks. This water overflow is due to the fact that the section of the Semajid River is no longer able to accommodate the discharge of water that comes from rain and also from upstream. Previously the Semajid River had been normalized but the cross section of the river was still not able to accommodate the flood discharge because the section of the Semajid River continued to decrease from year to year while rainfall was getting higher from time to time. To find out the overflow of discharge originating from the river, it is necessary to analyze it with the help of the HEC-RAS program so that later the right treatment can be obtained to deal with the overflow of discharge. Because the river normalization method is no longer effective due to topography and rainfall which is getting higher from time to time, an additional building is needed in the form of a reservoir around the Semajid River so that it can accommodate the overflow of discharge generated from the Semajid River. With the construction of the retention pond, it was found that the flood discharge of 102.99 m3/s was reduced to 87,03 m3/s so that part of the Semajid River did not flood. In other words, the retention pond method can reduce the flooding that occurs in the Semajid River.
