Abstract

Kalimas River is one of the important rivers in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. This river has a strategic role in maintaining the balance of urban ecosystems, providing clean water sources, as well as transportation and tourism routes. Kalimas Tourism provides Kalimas boat tours that offer unique cultural and tourist experiences, combining natural scenery, local culture, and historical heritage. However, the problem is the difficulty of repairing or evacuating boats damaged by use. Overcoming these problems requires design innovations that allow for more efficient boat manufacturing, assembly, and transportation. The purpose of this Final Project is to facilitate the process of repairing boats in hard-to-reach places made of fiberglass. Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) was chosen as the main material because of its high strength, lightweight, resistant to corrosion, and easy to form, whereas wood as a raw material for ships is currently increasingly difficult, so an alternative material is needed in ship building. The knockdown system refers to the ability of a ship to be disassembled and reassembled easily, thus allowing for more practical transportation. The knockdown system for ships designed for difficult repairs or evacuations in cramped areas involves a specialized approach where the ship's hull can be disassembled into smaller components, allowing for easier access and maneuverability in confined spaces. The ship is divided into 18 blocks with a length of about 0.82 m each with a block weight of 119 kg that can be carried by 4-5 people. For cranes used chain block type because it has a smaller size, easy to move, and easy to operate. Chain Block has a lifting capacity of up to 1 ton. The resulting ship design meets technical analysis which includes stability, trim, and freeboard. The ship is designed to have 12 passengers, 2 crew, with main size length (Loa): 8.2m; Width (B): 2 m; Height (H): 0.95 m; Draft: 0.3 m; Speed (Vs): 7 knots with the route of Taman Prestasi and Monkasel. Tickets are offered in two types, namely, Taman Prestasi Rp4,000 and Monkasel Rp10,000 with a travel time of 15 minutes. For the analysis of ship structure, the maximum voltage occurs at 163,978 N/mm2. As for the cost of ship construction amounted to IDR 403,293,559.92 and for ship operations in a year IDR 245,508,890.
