Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi kian berkembang pesat dan canggih. Namun, penggunaan teknologi di lingkungan nelayan kecil masih belum banyak digunakan. Para nelayan tradisional masih banyak mengandalkan ilmu turun temurun seperti melihat bintang dan juga insting dalam mencari ikan di laut. Banyak informasi kenelayanan baik dalam bentuk aplikasi maupun website yang tersedia namun belum banyak diketahui oleh nelayan. Dari permasalahan diatas maka diperlukan evaluasi tentang aplikasi digital nelayan saat ini. Dengan demikian, tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan dari nelayan saat ini. Setelah dilakukan analisis dilakukan pembuatan aplikasi berdasarkan kebutuhan dari nelayan. Aplikasi yang dibuat berbasis android. Aplikasi ini berisi 6 panel yang diantaranya panel navigasi, panel cuaca, panel persebaran ikan, panel kargo, panel mesin dan panel listrik. Setiap panel memiliki fitur masing – masing. Panel navigasi bertujuan untuk membantu mengarahkan nelayan ke titik koordinat. Panel cuaca bertujuan untuk mengetahui info cuaca di suatu wilayah. Panel Persebaran ikan memberikan informasi daerah persebaran ikan pelagis dan rajungan berdasarkan data satelit, suhu permukaan laut, klorofil-a dan salinitas. Panel Kargo berisi hasil tangkapan ikan nelayan dari melaut. Selain itu terdapat laporan hasil timbangan alat "load cell". Panel Mesin berisi pelaporan kondisi mesin sebuah kapal. Dengan panel ini pemilik kapal dapat mengetahui track record kondisi mesinnya. Selain itu pada halaman ini terdapat hasil monitoring bahan bakar dari alat "flowmeter". Halaman yang berisi pelaporan kondisi listrik dari sebuah kapal. Sehingga pemilik kapal dapat mengetahui track record kondisi generator. Aplikasi selanjutnya diujikan ke beberapa calon pengguna yang kemudian memberikan feedback terkait aplikasi ini. Aplikasi ini mendapatkan rating sebesar 4,166 untuk tampilan aplikasi, 4,166 untuk fitur aplikasi, 3,888 untuk manfaat aplikasi, 4,055 untuk navigasi, 4,111 untuk motivasi menggunakan aplikasi, dan 4,388 untuk pembaruan aplikasi ini.

The development of information technology is rapidly advancing and sophisticated. However, the use of technology in small fishing communities is still not widely adopted. Traditional fishermen continue to rely on ancestral knowledge, such as reading stars and instincts, to find fish in the sea. There are many fisheries-related information available in the form of applications and websites, but they are not well-known among fishermen. Therefore, an evaluation of the current digital applications for fishermen is needed. Hence, this final project aims to analyze the current needs of fishermen. After conducting the analysis, a new application is developed based on the identified needs of the fishermen. The application is built on the Android platform and consists of 6 panels, namely the navigation panel, weather panel, fish distribution panel, cargo panel, engine panel, and electricity panel. Each panel has its own set of features. The navigation panel is designed to assist fishermen in navigating to specific coordinates. The weather panel provides information about the weather in a particular area. The fish distribution panel offers data on the distribution of pelagic fish and crabs based on satellite data, sea surface temperature, chlorophyll-a, and salinity. The cargo panel contains information about the catch obtained by the fishermen while at sea. Additionally, it includes reports from a "load cell" weighing device. The engine panel provides reports on the condition of a ship's engine. With this panel, the ship owner can monitor the track record of the engine's condition. Moreover, it displays fuel monitoring results from a "flowmeter" device. The electricity panel reports on the condition of the electricity generator on board a ship, allowing the ship owner to track its performance. Subsequently, the application is tested by several potential users who provide feedback on the application. The application received ratings of 4.166 for application appearance, 4.166 for application features, 3.888 for application benefits, 4.055 for navigation, 4.111 for motivation to use the application, and 4.388 for application updates.
