Abstract
Katalis lantanum nikel seng fosfat (LNZP) telah disintesis dengan metode sol-gel, dengan Ni 0,050 mol dan variasi Zn = 0,000; 0,025; 0,050; 0,100; dan 0,150. Katalis hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan difraksi sinar-X (XRD), FTIR, FTIR adsorpsi piridin, dan SEM-EDX. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan struktur kristal yang sama dengan LaPO4, yaitu heksagonal. Keasaman Brønsted, Brønsted/Lewis, dan Lewis meningkat dengan meningkatnya mol Zn. Hasil SEM menunjukkan bahwa morfologi katalis LP, LNP, dan LNZP merupakan agregat. Uji katalisis dilakukan melalui reaksi konversi selulosa menjadi 5-Hidroksimetilfurfural (5 HMF). Konversi, selektivitas, dan hasil 5-HMF dari reaksi dengan reaktan awal selulosa, glukosa, dan fruktosa dipengaruhi oleh keasaman katalis Brønsted dan Lewis. Pengamatan rute reaksi menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan 5-HMF dari selulosa dengan katalis LNZP berlangsung melalui rute reaksi fruktosa

Lanthanum nickel zinc phosphate (LNZP) catalyst was synthesized by the sol-gel method, with Ni 0.050 mol and variation Zn = 0.000; 0.025; 0.050; 0.100; and 0.150. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), FTIR, pyridine adsorption FTIR, and SEM-EDX. The characterization results show the same crystal structure as LaPO4, which is hexagonal. The Brønsted, Brønsted/Lewis, and Lewis acids increase with increasing Zn moles. SEM results show that the morphology of the catalysts LP, LNP, and LNZP are aggregates. The catalytic test was carried out through the conversion of cellulose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF). The conversion, selectivity and yield of 5-HMF from the reaction with the initial reactants cellulose, glucose and fructose were influenced by the acidity of the Brønsted and Lewis catalysts. Observation of the reaction route showed that the formation of 5-HMF from cellulose with LNZP catalyst take place via the fructose reaction route.
