Abstract
Diesel Engine is one of the most used engine in the industry due to its high efficiency characterized by its high Combustion Temperature. One of the alternative way to reduce said Combustion Temperature is by Connecting a Pressure Control Chamber to the Combustion Chamnber to reduce the Combustion Pressure. This results in the reduction of the Combustion Chamber. This has been proved by the Proposal of (Lilipaly, Wehner, & Loest, 2018) which showed the reduction of Burned Combustion Temperature by 6%. This Bachelor Thesis aims to Measure the NOx Reduction effect of an engine that is installed with a Pressure Control Chamber by simulation method Then Designing the Pressure Control System to install at the engine . the result is that the engine has a reduction of Maximum Temperature at the Mixed Region by 16 %, 14 % at the Unburn Region and 13 % at the Burned Region . consequently the NOX Produced was Reduced From 99.3923g/Kwh to 95.94g/Kwh which is a reduction of 4.57% which proves that the Pressure Control System is Effective at Reducing the engines NOx Emmission

Mesin Diesel adalah salah satu mesinyang paling banyak digunakan di industry dikarenakan efisiensinya yang tinggi. Hal ini dikarenakan mesin diesel memiliki suhu pembakaran yang tinggi dikarenakan ia memiliki tekanan pembakaran yang tinggi. salah satu cara untuk mengurangi suhu pembakaran adalah dengan mengurangi tekanan di ruang pembakaran. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan menghubungkan Pressure Control Chamber ke ruang pembakaran seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh (Lilipaly, Wehner, & Loest, 2018) yang menunjukkan penurunan temperature pembakaran di zona terbakar sebesar 6%. Thesis ini bertujuan untuk mecari tahu efek Pengurangan NOx yang dihasilkan dari penginstalan Pressure Control Chamber Melalui Metode Simulasi lalu mendesain system control tekanan di mesin. Hasilnya adalah pengurangan suhu ruang pembakaran sebesar 16%, 14% di zona tak terbakar dan 13% di zona terbakar. Sebagai hasilnya jumlah NOx yang dihasilkan berkurang dari 99.3923g/Kwh menjadi 95.94g/Kwh yang merupakan pengurangan sebesar 4.57% yang membuktikan bahwa Pressure Control Chamber efektif untuk mengurangi emisi Nox di mesin.
