Abstract

Mangrove merupakan salah satu parameter blue carbon karena kemampuannya dalam menyerap serta menyimpan karbon pada setiap bagian-bagian tumbuhan seperti ranting, cabang, akar dan daun dalam bentuk biomassa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada hutan Mangrove Kalimireng yang ada di Kecamatan Manyar, Gresik dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman spesies mangrove pada Kawasan Mangrove Kalimireng serta menghitung nilai biomassa pohon, mengetahui berapa banyak nilai cadangan karbon dan kemampuan potensi serapan karbon. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis vegetasi menggunakan metode line transect dengan kombinasi plot sampling lalu dilakukan identifikasi terhadap spesies mangrove yang berada dalam plot. Selanjutnya untuk menghitung biomassa, cadangan karbon dan sekuestrasi karbon digunakan metode tanpa pemanenan (non-destructive) dengan mengukur diameter atau keliling batang pohon mangrove yang ada dalam plot penelitian, kemudian dilakukan perhitungan menggunakan persamaan allometrik untuk mengetahui biomassa, sementara nilai cadangan karbon dan serapan karbon mangrove dapat diduga melalui biomassa yang telah didapatkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 3 stasiun berbeda berkaitan dengan ketebalan mangrove. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa indeks keanekaragaman pada stasiun 1 sebesar 2,13 diikuti stasiun 3 dengan indeks keanekaragaman sebesar 1,73 dan stasiun 3 dengan indeks keanekaragaman 1,6. Sementara nilai biomassa tertinggi berada pada stasiun 2 yakni sebesar 13344,72 kg dengan cadangan karbon 209 ton/ha dan sekuestrasi karbon 766,6 ton/ha, diikuti oleh stasiun 1 yang memiliki nilai biomassa 7246,3 kg, nilai cadangan karbon sebesar 56,76 ton/ha dan sekuestrasi karbon 208 ton/ha dan nilai biomassa paling rendah berada pada stasiun 3 yang memiliki nilai biomassa 3796,7 kg, nilai cadangan karbon sebesar 29,74 ton/ha dan sekuestrasi karbon 109 ton/ha.

Mangroves are one of the blue carbon parameters because of their ability to absorb and store carbon in every part of the plant such as twigs, branches, roots and leaves in the form of biomass. This research was conducted in the Kalimireng Mangrove Forest in Manyar District, Gresik and aimed to determine the diversity of mangrove species in the Kalimireng Mangrove Area and to calculate the value of tree biomass, carbon stock and the potential for carbon absorption. In this study, analysis of vegetation was carried out using the line transect method with a combination of plot sampling and identification of the mangrove species in the plot. Furthermore, to calculate biomass, carbon stocks and carbon sequestration, a non-harvesting (non-destructive) method was used by measuring the diameter or circumference of the mangrove tree trunks in the research plot, then calculations were carried out using allometric equations to determine biomass, while the value of carbon stocks and carbon absorption of mangroves could be estimated from the biomass that had been obtained. This research was conducted at 3 different stations related to mangrove thickness. Based on the results of the study it was found that the diversity index at station 1 was 2,13 followed by station 3 with a diversity index of 1,73 and station 3 with a diversity index of 1,6. While the highest biomass value was at station 2 which was 13344,72 kg with carbon stocks of 209 tons/ha and carbon sequestration of 766,6 tons/ha, followed by station 1 in which had a biomass value of 7246,3 kg, carbon stock value of 56.76 tons/ha and carbon sequestration of 208 tons/ha and the lowest biomass value was at station 3 which had biomass value of 3796,7 kg, carbon stock value of 29,74 tons/ha and carbon sequestration 109 tons/ha.
