Abstract

Buah naga (Hylocereus sp.) merupakan tanaman jenis kaktus yang berasal dari keluarga cactaceae dan genus Hylocereus. Semua bagian tanaman buah naga terbukti mengandung senyawa bioaktif yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan, salah satunya ada pada bagian batang tanaman. Senyawa bioaktif tersebut dapat diambil melalui ekstraksi. Salah satu metode ekstraksi yang dapat dilakukan adalah maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut air. Aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak batang buah naga yang ditunjukan dengan adanya gugus fungsi yang terdeteksi melalu uji FTIR dan juga melalui uji Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Secara berturut turut hasil untuk senyawa fenolik dengan perendaman 24 jam, 25 jam, dan 26 jam adalah 4643,804± 50.070(μg/g), 4795,574± 50.020(μg/g), dan 4823,219± 50.050(μg/g). Hasil untuk senyawa flavonoid secara berturut-turut adalah 34,591 ± 2,895(μg/g), 34,761 ± 2,665(μg/g), dan 35,235 ± 2,924(μg/g). Hasil dari aktivitas antioksidan secara berturut-turut adalah 60,223 ± 0.565%, 60,457 ± 0,351%, dan 60,926 ± 0,366%.

Dragon fruit (Hylocereus sp.) is a cactus plant belonging to the cactaceae family and the genus Hylocereus. All parts of the dragon fruit plant are proven to contain bioactive compounds that are beneficial to health, one of which is in the stem of the plant. These bioactive compounds can be taken through extraction. One of the extraction methods that can be done is maceration using water as a solvent. The antioxidant activity of dragon fruit stem extract is indicated by the presence of functional groups which were detected through the FTIR test and through the UV-Vis Spectrophotometry test. The results for phenolic compounds by soaking for 24 hours, 25 hours, and 26 hours were 4643.804 ± 50.070(μg/g), 4795.574 ± 50.020(μg/g), and 4823.219 ± 50.050(μg/ g). The results for the flavonoid compounds were 34.591 ± 2.895(μg/g), 34.761 ± 2.665(μg/g), and 35.235 ± 2.924(μg/g). The results of the antioxidant activity were 60.223 ± 0.565%, 60.457 ± 0.351%, and 60.926 ± 0.366%, respectively.
