Abstract

Produksi sampah plastik mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk. Pengelolaan sampah plastik dapat dilakukan dengan cara menjadikannya sebagai bahan campuran media tanam jamur tiram putih (Pleurotus ostreatus). P. ostreatus merupakan salah satu jenis jamur kayu yang banyak menggunakan kayu lapuk sebagai sumber karbonnya. P. ostreatus diperkirakan dapat tumbuh di media campuran plastik karena plastik mengandung sumber karbon. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan plastik polyethylene pada media tanam terhadap produktivitas jamur tiram putih dan kadar nutrisinya. Jenis plastik polyethylene yang ditambahkan pada media tanam adalah plastik bening yang biasa digunakan sebagai kemasan es dan plastik putih yang biasa digunakan sebagai kantong belanja. Media untuk F0 atau kultur murni adalah medium PDA. Sedangkan F1 dan F2 menggunakan media campuran dari serbuk gergaji kayu, sekam padi, tepung jagung, CaCO3, dan gips. Pada media F3, komposisi media tanamnya sama seperti komposisi media tanam F1 dan F2, akan tetapi sebagian serbuk kayu diganti dengan plastik bening atau plastik putih. Komposisi penambahan plastik adalah 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100% dari berat serbuk gergaji kayu. Parameter yang diukur meliputi pertumbuhan miselium jamur (cm), berat basah jamur tiram (gram), jumlah badan buah (buah), dan umur panen pertama (HSI). Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif. Degradasi plastik sebagai sumber karbon dianalisis menggunakan FTIR. Untuk mengetahui kadar gizi jamur, dilakukan analisis kadar protein dengan metode kjeldahl dan analisis kadar nutrisi menggunakan XRF (X-ray Fluorescence). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan plastik bening atau plastik putih pada media tanam berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan miselium pada tahap F3, berat basah jamur tiram putih, jumlah tubuh buah jamur tiram putih, dan umur panen pertama jamur tiram putih. Perlakuan yang memberikan hasil terbaik adalah perlakuan dengan komposisi 25% media campuran plastik bening yang dapat meningkatkan pembentukan tubuh buah dengan rata-rata berat basah 8,65 gram dan kadar protein 18,36% serta jenis nutrisi yang dihasilkan sama dengan kontrol (media tanpa campuran plastik)

The production of plastic waste has increased along with the increase in population. Plastic waste management can be done by making it a mixture of white oyster mushroom growing media (Pleurotus ostreatus). P. ostreatus is a type of wood fungus that uses weathered wood as a carbon source. P. ostreatus is expected to grow in plastic mixed media because plastic contains a carbon source. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of adding polyethylene plastic to the growing media on the productivity of white oyster mushrooms and their nutritional content. The type of polyethylene plastic added to the planting medium is clear plastic which is commonly used as ice packs and white plastic which is commonly used as shopping bags. The medium for F0 or pure culture is PDA medium. While F1 and F2 used mixed media from wood sawdust, rice bran, corn flour, CaCO3, and gypsum. In F3 media, the composition of the planting media is the same as the composition of the F1 and F2 planting media, but some of the sawdust is replaced with clear plastic or white plastic. The composition of the addition of plastic is 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% by weight of wood sawdust. The parameters measured included the growth of the mushroom mycelium (cm), the fresh weight of the oyster mushrooms (grams), the number of fruiting bodies (fruit), and the age of the first harvest (HSI). The data obtained will be analyzed by descriptive method. Plastic degradation as a carbon source was analyzed using FTIR. To determine the nutritional content of mushrooms, protein content analysis was carried out using the kjeldahl method and analysis for heavy metal content using XRF (X-ray Fluorescence). The results showed that the addition of clear plastic or white plastic to the planting medium had an effect on increasing mycelium growth at the F3 stage, the fresh weight of white oyster mushrooms, the number of white oyster mushroom fruiting bodies, and the age of the first harvest of white oyster mushrooms. The treatment that gave the best results was the treatment with a composition of 25% clear plastic mixed media which increased the formation of fruiting bodies with an average wet weight of 8.65 grams and protein content of 18.36% and the type of heavy metals produced was the same as the control (media without plastic mix).
