Abstract
Pasar industri kecantikan sedang mengalami kenaikkan secara global, turut memberikan dampak terhadap industri dan pola konsumsi masyarakat Indonesia. Dari banyak menggunakan produk kecantikan dari luar negeri, sudah semakin banyak merek lokal yang gencar mengeluarkan beragam jenis produk perawatan kulit dengan berbagai macam pemasaran untuk merebut hati perempuan. Hal ini membuat rentannya terjadi kesalahan penggunaan produk, dikarenakan penggunaan produk perawatan kulit wajah tanpa memiliki dasar ilmunya, teutama untuk usia mahasiswi yang mayoritas baru memakai dan minim pengetahuan. Terlebih kesalahan terjadi karena menggunakan skincare tidak sesuai urutan dan jenis kulit masing-masing. Metode perancangan dimulai dari studi literatur dari beragam buku terbitan terbaru terkait kesehatan kulit, depth interview dan studi eksperimental. Hal ini diperkuat dengan data-data hasil wawancara hingga berlanjut ke studi eksperimental dan ditentukannya media perancangan yang disesuaikan dengan target audiens yaitu komik digital pada platform LINE Webtoon. Konsep yang sudah ada dibahas bersama narasumber beserta dua komikus yang membantu membuat alur cerita yang lebih bisa bersaing di tengah pasar komik lokal LINE Webtoon, terlebih di genre slice-of-life yang paling popular bagi pembaca Indonesia. Luaran dari perancangan adalah komik digital dengan alur cerita keseharian mahasiswi sebagai media edukasi skincare dasar dan jenis kulit yang diunggah dalam platform LINE Webtoon. Hasil dari output ini diharapkan mampu menjadi alternatif media edukasi terkait perkenalan produk perawatan kulit dasar yang mudah dipahami dan disesuaikan dengan jenis kulit untuk golongan usia mahasiswi yang memiliki rutinitas padat.

The market for the beauty industry is blooming in interest, which also has an impact on the industry and consumption patterns of the Indonesian people. From using many beauty products from abroad, more local brands are viciously releasing various types of skin care products with various kinds of marketing to win women's hearts. This leads to many mistakes that will end up in fatal, due to using skincare products without having a basic knowledge, especially for female students who are mostly new to using them and have little knowledge. Moreover, mistakes occur because using skincare with the wrong steps and not based on their own skin type. The design method starts from a literature study of the latest published books related to skin health, in-depth interviews, and experimental studies. This is reinforced by the data from the interviews to proceed to experimental studies and the determination of design media that are suitable to the target audience, namely digital comics on the LINE Webtoon platform. The existing concepts were discussed with skin-expert persons and two comic artists who helped make the storyline more competitive in the local comic market LINE Webtoon, especially in the slice-of-life genre which is most popular for Indonesian readers. The output of the design is a digital comic with a daily storyline of female students as a medium for basic skincare education and skin types which is uploaded on the LINE Webtoon platform. The results of this output are expected to be an alternative educational medium related to the introduction of basic skin care products that are easy to understand and adapted to skin types for the female student age group who have busy routines.
