Abstract

Masyarakat dituntut untuk beradaptasi lebih cepat terhadap teknologi digital demi menjaga produktivitas kegiatan ekonomi untuk tetap terkoneksi dengan relasi online terutama sejak masa pandemi. Teknologi internet yang tak pernah berhenti membuat percepatan era digital masuk ke tahap teknologi 5G. Salah satu kelebihan teknologi 5G yang paling dirasakan adalah kecepatan aksesnya mencapai 10 kali lipat lebih cepat dari teknologi 4G. Namun pasar teknologi 5G masih terbilang sangat kecil di Indonesia akibat beberapa faktor salah satunya yaitu belum meratanya demand teknologi komunikasi di Indonesia. Hal itu ditandai dengan selisih pengguna internet dan pengguna jaringan 5G yang cukup besar pada tahun 2021 dimana terdapat 175,4 juta pengguna internet di Indonesia dan hanya sekitar 10 juta pengguna layanan 5G di Asia Tenggara. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis perilaku pengguna internet terhadap jaringan 5G untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi masyarakat terhadap penggunaan jaringan 5G dengan metode pendekatan Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT). Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling Generalized Structure Component Analysis (SEM-GSCA). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa faktor-faktor signifikan yang berpengaruh positif terhadap minat masyarakat dalam menggunakan jaringan 5G adalah variabel performance expectancy, effort expectancy, dan facilitating condition, sedangkan variabel social influence tidak berpengaruh signifikan atau memiliki pengaruh negative terhadap minat penggunaan jaringan 5G. Selain itu didapatkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara minat menggunakan jaringan 5G terhadap minat beli berlangganan jaringan 5G

The public is required to adapt more quickly to digital technology in order to maintain the productivity of economic activities to stay connected with online relationships, especially since the pandemic period. Internet technology that never stops has accelerated the digital era into the 5G technology stage. One of the most felt advantages of 5G technology is that the access speed reaches 10 times faster than 4G technology. However, the 5G technology market is still relatively small in Indonesia due to several factors, one of which is the uneven demand for communication technology in Indonesia. This is indicated by the large difference between internet users and 5G network users in 2021, where there are 175.4 million internet users in Indonesia and only around 10 million users of 5G services in Southeast Asia. Therefore, in this research, an analysis of the behavior of internet users towards the 5G network will be carried out to find out the factors that encourage society from using the 5G network using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) approach. In analyzing the data, researchers used the Structural Equation Modeling Generalized Structure Component Analysis (SEM-GSCA) method. Based on the research results, it is known that the significant factors that have a positive effect on people's interest in using the 5G network are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and facilitating condition variables, while the social influence variable has no significant or negative effect on interest in using the 5G network. In addition, it was found that there was a significant influence between the interest in using the 5G network on the intention to buy a subscription to the 5G network.
