Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara berkembang dengan jumlah penduduk terbesar keempat di dunia, dan jumlah penduduknya terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Dengan fokus pada pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan, Indonesia bertujuan untuk menjadi negara yang makmur dan maju pada tahun 2045. Namun, tingkat pertumbuhan penduduk yang tinggi di Indonesia menciptakan persaingan yang signifikan di pasar tenaga kerja, yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan upah dan masalah kesejahteraan sosial seperti kemiskinan dan ketimpangan ekonomi. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak beberapa indikator ekonomi seperti inflasi, PDB, PMA, upah minimum, dan jumlah angkatan kerja terhadap tingkat kesempatan kerja di Indonesia pada tahun 2000 hingga 2022 menggunakan Error Correction Model (ECM). Error Correction Model dapat diaplikasikan pada data yang tidak stasioner pada tingkat level, tetapi stasioner pada tingkat differencing yang sama. Model ECM juga dapat digunakan untuk mengoreksi ketidakseimbangan jangka pendek agar mencapai keseimbangan jangka panjang. Variabel yang berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam jangka panjang adalah Inflasi, PMA, dan Jumlah Angkatan Kerja, sementara itu dalam model jangka pendek variabel jumlah angkatan kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Model spesifikasi ECM yang diperoleh sudah valid, dengan 72,27% penyesuaian terjadi pada tahun pertama dan 27,73% terjadi pada tahun-tahun berikutnya.

Indonesia is a developing country with the fourth largest population in the world, and its population continues to increase every year. With a focus on achieving sustainable development goals, Indonesia aims to become a prosperous and advanced country by 2045. However, the high population growth rate in Indonesia creates significant competition in the job market, which can lead to wage decreases and social welfare issues such as poverty and economic inequality. This study analyzes the impact of several economic indicators such as inflation, GDP, foreign direct investment, minimum wages, and total labor force on the level of employment opportunities in Indonesia from 2000 to 2022 using the Error Correction Model (ECM). The Error Correction Model can be applied to data that is not stationary at the level, but stationary at the same differencing level. The Error Correction Model can also be used to correct short-term imbalances in order to achieve long-term balance. Variables that have a significant effect in the long term are inflation, FDI, and the number of the workforce, while in the short-term model the variable number of the workforce has no significant effect. The ECM specification model obtained is valid, with 72,27% adjustmet occurring in the first year and 27,73% occurring in subsequent years.
