Abstract

Berdasarkan Studi Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) tahun 2021, didapatkan prevalensi stunting tahun 2021 sebesar 24,4% sedangkan Jawa Timur memiliki angka prevalensi stunting sebesar 23,3%.

Children are the next generation of the nation, so having a quality generation is important in the development of a country. One of the health problems that need attention is stunting. Based on the 2021 Indonesian Nutritional Status Study (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in 2021 was 24.4%, while East Java had a stunting prevalence rate of 23.3%. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the factors that influence the prevalence of toddler stunting in East Java Province at 2021 and to model it using spline semiparametric regression. The research was conducted in East Java Province using data for 2021 with factors that are thought to influence the percentage of poor people as a parametric variable and the percentage of toddler consuming exclusive breastfeeding as a nonparametric variable. The spline semiparametric regression method is used because there are parametric and nonparametric variables where the nonparametric variables do not form a certain pattern while the parametric variables form a pattern. Based on the minimum GCV value, the best model was obtained using a two-point knot linear spline semiparametric regression. The results of the analysis show that all variables influence the prevalence of stunting in toddler with the results of testing the residual assumptions showing that all assumptions are fulfilled with a coefficient of determination of the model of 93,5%.
