Abstract

Kusta merupakan penyakit kulit yang bisa menyebabkan dampak secara fisik dan budaya karena stigma masyarakat terhadap kecacatannya. Ironisnya, Provinsi Jawa Timur merupakan penyumbang paling besar angka kejadian kusta di Indonesia. Kabupaten Mojokerto yang merupakah salah satu wilayah Jawa Timur juga memiliki kecenderungan naiknya tingkat penderita kusta. Penderita kusta perlu diberikan penanganan khusus untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kecacatan. Kebanyakan pasien kusta di Mojokerto akan dirujuk ke RSUD Sumberglagah sehingga penelitian mengenai variabel yang diduga mempengaruhi tingkat kecacatan kusta dilakukan di RSUD Sumberglagah Mojokerto. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kecacatan pasien kusta. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder yang diambil dari rekam medis. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kecacatan pasien kusta akan dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik ordinal. Didapatkan hasil bahwa mayoritas pasien kusta mengalami kecacatan tingkat 1 atau cacat saraf sensorik yang tidak terlihat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi logistik ordinal tingkat kecacatan pasien kusta dipengaruhi oleh faktor tingkat pendidikan dan reaksi kusta. Pasien kusta dengan tingkat pendidikan rendah dan pendidikan menengah memiliki risiko yang lebih besar mendapatkan tingkat kecacatan yang lebih parah daripada pasien dengan tingkat pendidikan tinggi. Serta pasien dengan reaksi kusta tipe 2 memiliki risiko yang lebih besar mendapatkan kecacatan yang lebih parah daripada pasien dengan reaksi tipe 1. Model regresi logistik ordinal dapat memberikan klasifikasi secara tepat sebesar 60% dari total observasi.

Leprosy is a skin disease that can cause physical and cultural impacts due to the stigma of society towards its disability. Ironically, East Java Province is the largest contributor to the incidence of leprosy in Indonesia. Mojokerto Regency, which is one of the East Java regions, also tends to increase the level of lepers. Lepers need to be given special treatment to minimize the occurrence of disability. Most leprosy patients in Mojokerto will be referred to Sumberglagah Hospital so that research on variables that are suspected to affect the level of leprosy disability is carried out at Sumberglagah Mojokerto Hospital. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the level of disability of leprosy patients. The data used is secondary data taken from medical records. Factors affecting the disability rate of leprosy patients will be analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. It was found that the majority of leprosy patients had a level 1 disability or an invisible sensory nerve defect. Based on the results of logistic regression analysis, the level of disability of leprosy patients is influenced by factors of education level and leprosy reaction. Leprosy patients with low levels of education and secondary education have a greater risk of developing more severe rates of disability than patients with higher levels of education. As well as patients with type 2 leprosy reactions have a greater risk of developing a more severe disability than patients with type 1 reactions. An ordinal logistic regression model can provide an exact classification of 60% of total observations.
