Abstract

Gas Processing Facility (GPF) is characterized by its complexity, capital-intensive nature, and advanced technology deployment. To achieve company goals, it is necessary to implement an integrated automation system that spans from the process to the enterprise level. The Manufacturing Operation Management System (MOMS) serves as an information system that bridges the gap between the upper level, namely enterprise resource planning (ERP), and the lower levels, namely the Process Control layer (PCS). MOMS is a computer-based system that accurately displays and analyzes real-time data from control systems, providing input to enterprise systems for corporate decision-making purposes. Eventhough previous studies have demonstrated the benefits of MOMS, the implementation process remains a significant challenge. The ISA95 standard defines the role of MOMS in identifying the functionalities and data flows it should include, as well as its intended integration with other information systems. By utilizing the MOMS implementation methodology described in previous research, this study conducted an initial assessment consisting of process and business process analysis, functional and integration requirements, and the design and simulation of the Operation Daily E-logger system for gas processing field operations. As a result of the study, a new system architecture covering both the functional and network domains is proposed. A specific MOMS functional model for gas processing operations is developed. The simulation of the Operation Daily E-logger system yields positive results, confirming the successful integration of both functional and network aspects. This integration leads to a significant 99.37% time savings and improved accuracy, eliminating human error in the process
