Abstract
PT.

PT. X is a company that produces PVC pipe products in various sizes. However, in the production process, there is often an excess weight of pipes from the existing pipe weight standards, causing the quality of PVC pipes here to decrease. For PVC pipe products that have a weight and thickness of pipes not according to the specification limits, the product will be discarded, causing losses. The company still does not know what factors cause this to happen. It is hoped that this research can find out the capabilities produced in the PVC pipe production process and can find out the factors that cause nonconformities in the PVC pipe production process. The method used in this study is to use statistical quality control, namely by using the T2 Hotelling control map and generalized variance control map and using the capability index and Ishikawa diagram to determine the cause of the plot being outside the control limit. The results obtained from this research are the pvc pipe production process at PT. X in phase I, namely on January 16-30, 2023, has been statistically controlled, but overall the process is not capable because the MCp value is less than 1 and the MCpk value is less than 1 or low accuracy and low precision. PVC pipe production process at PT. X in phase II, namely on February 1-15, 2023, has been statistically controlled, but overall the process is not capable because the MCp value is less than 1 and the MCpk value is less than 1 or low accuracy and low precision. In phase II there is a discrepancy in plot 9 of the generalized variance control map, where after review it can be seen that the cause of the nonconformity is due to The first factor is man, namely there is no supervision of the production process caused by employees not in accordance with company SOPs and lack of maintenance on machines, the second factor is material, namely because in February a trial of new raw materials was carried out. The third factor is the machine, which is a damaged engine caused by engine oil running out. The last factor is the environment, which is because the production site has a high temperature that causes employees to be unfocused and uncomfortable.
