Abstract
Sistem pengendalian flowrate input crude palm oil (CPO) pada miniplant pemurnian minyak goreng dirancang dan dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan konsistensi proses pemurnian minyak goreng. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor flow sensor untuk mengukur laju aliran CPO masuk dan kontroler untuk mengatur aliran CPO ke proses continuous counter-current extraction. Selain itu, sistem ini juga dilengkapi dengan HMI (Human Machine Interface) untuk memudahkan operator dalam memonitor dan mengatur parameter sistem. Pengujian sistem dilakukan dengan mengukur flowrate CPO masuk dan membandingkan dengan set point yang telah diatur pada kontroler. Digunakan variasi setpoint sebanyak 4 macam (2,5 L/min, 5 L/min, 7,5 L/min, 10 L/min) untuk mengetahui apakah sistem kontrol dapat bekerja dengan baik. Diperoleh hasil pengujian dengan 4 macam setpoint menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat mengendalikan flowrate input CPO dengan akurasi yang tinggi sebesar 99,89%, 99,79%, 99,67%, 99,84% dan memberikan respons yang cepat selama 3 detik terhadap perubahan set point. Dengan adanya sistem pengendalian flowrate input CPO ini, diharapkan dapat mengurangi risiko terjadinya kesalahan manusia dalam mengatur aliran CPO.

The crude palm oil (CPO) input flowrate control system in the mini oil refining plant is designed and developed to enhance the efficiency and consistency of the frying oil purification process. This system utilizes a flow sensor to measure the incoming CPO flow rate and a controller to regulate the CPO flow into the continuous counter-current extraction process. Additionally, the system is equipped with a Human Machine Interface (HMI) to facilitate the operator in monitoring and adjusting system parameters. System testing is conducted by measuring the incoming CPO flow rates and comparing them with the set points configured on the controller. Four different set points (2.5 L/min, 5 L/min, 7.5 L/min, 10 L/min) are used to assess the performance of the control system. The test results with the four set points demonstrate that the system can control the CPO input flowrate with high accuracy of 98.89%, 99.79%, 99.67%, and 99.84%, respectively, and provides a rapid response within 3 seconds to changes in the set points. The implementation of this CPO input flowrate control system is expected to reduce the risk of human errors in managing the CPO flow, ensuring a more reliable purification process.
